「The place was adorable, vintage feel. Furniture was very comfortable. The wrap around porch overlooking the lake is awesome. Will definitely rent the place again. 」

「The place was clean. However, there was a note that said they can't guarantee the bedding was clean, and also to save sheets for the next guest? That was very off putting from the start. And the bed was covered in a plastic bag that was noisy whenever you moved. Although the place was somewhat secluded, there were no shades or curtains for privacy and to block the early morning sun. The water had a strong sulfur smell and not drinkable. Fortunately I had bottled water in the car.」

「From the minute we walked in we were relaxed for a Thanksgiving long weekend. The views are amazing. This was the coziest well stocked dog friendly house I’ve stayed in. Owner thinks of everything. I mean everything. We lit the flame less candles every night. Great dishes and cookware. Our 2 Boxer dogs had plenty of room to spread out. I could go on and on about how special this little place is. Communication was flawless, instructions for everything. Just an amazing stay」

「We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage! The place was comfortable and clean. It’s very close to Keuka State Park, which was a great place for short hikes. We also visited a couple local wineries, but we visited in the off season so many were only open on the weekends. The only thing that wasn’t great was the sulfur taste and smell in the water. The brita pitcher provided helped a lot. We would definitely stay again. 」

「Painted Quail is absolutely a five star. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is amazing, the view is spectacular and the finger lakes are a must see! Our weather was gorgeous and we had an absolutely wonderful 31st wedding anniversary. Will definitely be returning in the spring. 」

「My family and friends have been staying here every year. The house is very cozy and has great amenities, The lakeside location is beautiful! Kayaks are available for a paddle on the lake. There is also fire pit lakeside to enjoy in the evening. The house has an on demand water heater so everyone has a hot shower at the end of the day. We are so happy we have been able to make this house our home one weekend a year.」
