Gorgeous Cabin with Beautiful Views!

This is a 10 plain and simple. Spent Christmas week there. The house has huge porches with views of the Smokys from each room! The kitchen is huge with EVERYTHING you need to cook and eat like a BOSS. The house is well stocked and the hot tub is a great plus! Making s’more s in front of the fire was also amazing! I wouldn’t hesitate to book this place in the future!

We had a fantastic time! The house was wonderful. It has a great location with a beautiful view. The host made it extra special with snacks and even an apple pie! The grandchildren loved the game room.

Perfect Family Vacation with our adult kids and two grandchildren!

Beautiful mountain home

Our family of eight enjoyed a wonderful 5-night stay at this amazing property. The owner's pride in their home and consideration for their guests is evident throughout. The kitchen, bedrooms, and living room are all well-outfitted and decorated. Everyone said their beds were comfortable. The views from the cabin are stunning! We were in Townsend for our son's wedding, and Bear's Den made the perfect base for us. The newlyweds loved having their own studio bedroom and private balcony. We had an amazing time and can't wait to come back!

Memory making mountain home and black bears

Located a short distance from town, this secluded home provided our family of 6 adults and 5 children, life long memories of beautiful sunrises and sunsets, multiple encounters with black bears and time away from the crowds that flock to the Smokies mountains every summer.

Fantastic Getaway

Our family booked Bear's Den in mid-April and had a fantastic time. A very solidly-built house, with modern appliances and technology. Very relaxing to listen to nature while enjoying the views. Would definitely book it again!

Absolutely Wonderful

We had an amazing time staying here. Very clean, lots to do and so spacious! Jill and Kurt took great care of us. You won’t regret booking here. We spent Thanksgiving in this lovely cabin and it was exactly what our family needed. A wonderful place to stay.

The Bear's Den is absolutely stunning. Great mountain views from every room. It is very well appointed and feels like home. Close to the golf course club house so it's easy to get to the pool or have a cocktail close by. There is plenty of space for family activities, which we took full advantage of. Great place to unwind and spend quality time with loved ones. The owners are VERY responsive and accommodating. I was impressed with their communication and sincere efforts to make it an amazing stay with good memories to take with us.

Beautiful views and spacious

The owners were very nice, went above and beyond with special gifts when we arrived. The cabin was clean, spacious, and beautifully built. Large kitchen and great downstairs space with games for younger folks (or adults!)

Best VRBO ever!

If you were to look up the words perfect experience in the dictionary you would find a picture of Bear Den Cabin. Everything about it was perfect! The views were perfect, the accommodations were perfect, the location was perfect, the communication with the owner was perfect, the upkeep of the property was perfect and the memories we made as a family were perfect. Kurt and his wife really do go out of their way to produce a wonderful experience for those that rent their beautiful property. If you’re thinking of this as a vacation destination I promise you won’t find anything better.

Great space with fantastic views

This house is incredible. Very spacious throughout. Beautiful views. Great communication with the host. Pleasant drive to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Driving up the mountain to the house might test your nerves, but it's worth it when you get there. We would definitely stay here again.

Family getaway

This house is so amazing! The views are breathtaking! We also loved the game room and hot tub! The hosts were great at communicating and also added small personal touches that made this stay perfect! Kurt and Jill’s cabin was the perfect place for our long weekend celebrating a birthday with friends. Kurt went above and beyond welcoming us. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to cook and feel comfortable. And the view was amazing! We would definitely recommend staying here!

This cabin was even better than the amazing photos can capture! The attention to detail in decor, cleanliness, maintenance, and guest convenience are truly unparalleled among all the vacation homes I’ve encountered. The home is magnificent and views majestic. The thought put into creating an enjoyable experience for guests really sets this experience apart. From ease of entry, to inviting aroma as you arrive. The kitchen was fully stocked with good cookware and appliances, welcoming seasonal decor, and amenities like soap, shampoo, marshmallow roasting sticks, s'more's making kit and a set of binoculars. Comfortable beds and bedding, a wine cooler, quality towels, awesome lighting-there are no corners cut. The hosts’ attention to detail, luxurious furnishings and commitment to excellence truly made this retreat feel like home.

Relaxing Getaway!

Our family had a hard time leaving the cabin everyday to explore the GSM because it was such a beautiful place to stay. There is such great peace watching the sunrise and the mountain air is so fresh. The Bear's Den had everything we needed and the hosts were very prompt in responding to any questions we had. If you want a place that feels like home, this is it!

Bears Den beauty

Absolutely the most impressive mountain home we’ve stayed in. The moment you walk in the door you’re amazed by the attention to detail and awesome views. The house was comfortable and well stocked to meet our every need. The view from every deck was breathtaking making morning coffee perfect. We were blown away with the special touches done just for our family. We are already planning a return stay for next winter.

Outstanding family holiday in beautiful location

The good experience started from the initial booking, Kurt and Jill immediately made us feel welcomed with a personal note, and remained available during our stay if we needed anything. The property itself was also great, beautiful views overlooking the mountains, designed to maximize the view. The floor plan worked very well for us, with our two married children and two grandchildren A nice blend of private bedroom and bath space, with common family living areas. The balconies were perhaps my favorite, where grandsons could safely play while we enjoyed the view. The fire pit and s’mores were also a great hit. We would definitely stay here again.

Views to die for❤️

My family and I had an amazing weekend! Everything we needed was there waiting for us. Jill and Kurt were amazing host and have really put their heart and soul into this property The teens had plenty to do in the game room and us adults joined in on the fun too! Family retreat

Our family lives only 20 minutes away, but we felt much further away. Accommodations were amazing, views were spectacular. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to have some wonderful family cooked meals. Everybody was comfortable. Kurt did an amazing job making sure that we were comfortable and that all our needs were met. I would highly recommend, we will definitely stay here again.
