Beautiful safe clean resort

Beautiful luxury resort. The hammam ritual was wonderful. Security is good as well. Service was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean, beautiful, large and well appointed. I enjoyed my meal at Saraba though it was pricey, but for a buffet with many excellent options and grilled lamb chops, steak or merguez. Other nights we went into Tozeur to eat. Although more disconnected from local culture than our other hotel stays in Tunisia, it was a bit of a respite from our travels, as a woman, to be able to relax a bit in our attire as well and enjoy Western facilities in a resort.

Oasis in the desert

The property and location were heavenly! The service and staff were professional and every detail was impeccable. Mekong restaurant was phenomenal and breakfast as well. The Spa was one of the best, desert voyage was once in a life time experience - generally speaking, a perfect place! Only suggestion is to have more dining options and room service food was not edible.

Unique experience in Sahara

This property is absolutely beautiful! A true oasis in the middle of nowhere. A special thank you to the manager, Rihab, and Mr. Ahmed, who assisted with our luggage; both were incredible and made us feel welcome. However, we had an incredibly difficult night due to a persistent sewage smell in our room. We were moved at 2:00 AM to a second room, only to find the heater was broken. In December, this was freezing and unacceptable, resulting in a third room move in a single night. While the staff tried their best and we appreciated their efforts, these issues were disappointing given the premium price. When paying for a one-of-a-kind experience, you expect the basics to be seamless. It’s a gorgeous location, but travelers with high expectations should be aware of these potential technical lapses.

Our stay here was wonderful! The staff truly went above and beyond to help us during our stay (Kadhija, Ahmed, and Mohammed were especially helpful.) The grounds are beautiful and there are many amenities. Our room was especially comfortable. The food was good, and our complementary breakfast was delicious.

Je tiens à partager mon expérience extrêmement décevante dans cet hôtel. Le service était tout simplement horrible. On m’a changé de chambre trois fois, et à chaque fois il y avait un nouveau problème. J’avais réservé une villa avec piscine chauffée, mais l’eau n’était jamais chauffée malgré mes demandes répétées. Ils m’ont transféré dans une autre villa, et rebelote, l’eau était toujours froide. Pour couronner le tout, dans la deuxième chambre, il y avait une souris qui a gratté dans le mur toute la nuit, m’empêchant de dormir. En ouvrant un placard, j’ai même découvert la souris à l’intérieur. Franchement, vivre ce genre de situation dans un hôtel censé être de standing, c’est juste inacceptable.

Pour une visite rapide à Tozeur et deux journées de détente, nous avons choisi l’hôtel Anantara… et c’était une magnifique expérience. L’hôtel est calme, paisible, parfait pour se reposer. La nourriture était excellente et très variée : fruits de mer, poulet, viande rouge… un vrai plaisir, entre plats traditionnels et cuisine internationale. La chambre était très propre, le service attentionné, et le personnel toujours souriant. Un endroit impeccable qu’on recommande vivement.
