Great Location

My family and I had a great time at this wonderful house. Lots of toys for the kids to play with and they really enjoyed the pool. The rooms and beds where comfortable. Andrea made us a wonderful typical Sicilian meal on our of our nights once the kids where all in bed. The location is also great. Easy travel to Mount Etna, Taormina, Syracusa, Catania, and the village of Trecastagni was very nice with several good resturants.

The villa was spacious and provided ample opportunity to socialize in the common areas or enjoy quiet time with a book elsewhere within the villa or on the grounds. The pool and grounds were outstanding. Our group of 18 adults thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay there and thank our hosts Andrea and his wife for a most memorable time.

A great place for large parties. Lovely pool with views of Etna and the sea. Car hire was worth doing particularly if you want to swim in sea and for some of my less mobile friends getting to restaurants.

My family of 17 ppl stayed here for a week and it was the best location, views and setting for us all to reunite with plenty of space and appartments that could be sectioned off or open - a huge pool area to enjoy! The hosts did an amazing job in meeting us for check in and had great communication ensuring our stay was comfortable. The town with shops and restaurants were only a short walk away making it very easy to get around - highly recommend staying here and with a car you can drive around to all the tourist spots very easily.

We had an excellent experience at Villa Del Cavaliere Grillo. This home is charming, large and accommodating. It easily accommodated 19 of us comfortably as well as served as a perfect idyllic location for a beautiful reunion with our father’s extended family. The owners were lovely and responsive. We would absolutely rent this location again in the future. Our deep thanks to the owners for this accommodation.

We stayed at the end of May with family ranging from children, teens, parents and grandparents and all really loved this Villa. The house is lovely and pool is large and clean with stunning views. The teens enjoyed the table tennis, pool table and basket ball court. Near to a nice village with some good restaurants. Guilia and Enzo were really helpful and friendly hosts. We all really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

We had such a lovely stay in this Villa. Communication was perfect and very friendly, and the house is very spacious. The pool area and the view from it was the highlight. I can recommend this Villa to be taken for a larger group. You have your own space, but can always come together in the community areas like the pool. Had an awesome 30th birthday there.

Family reunion

This House gave us the most perfect way to celebrate all 17 of us, ranging from 72 years old to 8 years old. The house was comfortable and clean the yard was magnificent. The pool, the swing, the grass yard to play soccer on, the basketball, court and ping pong table, entertained the children every day. We enjoyed Andre and his wife who cooked us two of the most delicious dinners also. The grandchildren tell us this house was the best part of their vacation. We all loved this beautiful home away from home. Thank you!

the house is great, truly great with lots of space and a gorgeous pool. with 3 kitchens, i could cook for my group with ease. my only objection is that it was so hot and with no screens on the windows, we could not open anything without mosquitoes eating us alive, so i would recommend screens so we could open windows safely. otherwise, a great house and a great place.

The villa is superbly situated within easy walking distance of the lovely little town, with its bars, trattorias and food shops. The villa is very spacious, delightfully furnished, and ideal for a large group (there were 13 of us). It felt like a much-loved real home, not just a holiday house. It has magnificent views down towards the coast and up towards Mt. Etna. The gardens are secure and well-maintained, with plenty of shade from mature trees. The pool is large and clean, and ideal for a good swim each day. The owner, Andrea, was welcoming and charming, and he and his lovely wife provided us with two excellent meals of typical Sicilian food. We all felt very relaxed, and would love to return.

The villa was excellent, just as described and pictured, for our December trip with a group of 15, ranging in age from 9 to 80, with lost of space to either congregate or to find privacy. -The host/owner met and oriented us to the workings and history of his house. He and his wife provided an excellent buffet dinner on our first night, with plenty of delicious food left over. -The walk into town takes somewhat more than 10 minutes, and is gradually uphill all the way which did not deter the younger folk. -With a car there is easy access to Etna, Catania, Taormina and Syracuse, closer attractions, groceries and restaurants. -A minor disappointment, told to us in advance: the swimming pool was not working. The younger folk, determined to swim, were able to get a dip in the Mediterranean. A minor seasonal (?) annoyance was intermittent smoke from a nearby pit of smoldering bush and tree trimmings. -Overall, a great place to stay with a group - highly recommended!

Great choice for a family trip

Eighteen of us enjoyed 10 days in this lovely, welcoming home. Ages ranged from 6 months to 82 years and we loved the way the home can be segmented into mini-apartments for sleeping babies and adults needing quiet time. At the same time the two large apartments on the lower level are roomy enough for all 18 to visit or enjoy a meal together. The pool was a big hit with the children. At one end is a shallow niche for younger kids and older kid have lots of room to swim and play. There is comfortable seating for the adults around the pool in either shade or sun. Because our family includes a number of avid soccer players we were thrilled to find lots of room in the yard for futball as well as a basketball court. Balls as well as toys for the smaller children were provided. This is a very child friendly home and even included a crib for the baby. Adults have many comfortable spaces to visit in either large or small groups. We enjoyed the location. On the square in Trecastagni is an inviting fruit and vegetable market and also a “bar” serving delicious varieties of gelato. We found several restaurants for eating in or take out and also enjoyed a dinner prepared by the host and his wife. From this location we were able to enjoy day trips to Taormina, Enna, Siracusa, Catania, and Agrigento. I am happy to recommend this home to others. The host is pleasant to deal with and the accommodations comfortable as well as beautiful.
