Amazing stay

Total package
This property is the total package. There’s nothing to improve upon. The inside is modern and immaculate, the outside is panoramic stunning country beauty and that includes a close view of the livestock. The gym and sauna was a huge bonus too! Rich was very nice and welcoming. I recommend anyone staying here get in on purchasing some VERY fresh eggs and beef. I love this place and can’t wait to come back.

Winter Escape
Our expectations for this property were high based on previous guest reviews. I can honestly say that our expectations were far exceeded. We were not weekend guests as we were guest for a month. The location for us was perfect as we could travel a short distance to Trenton for groceries at Piggly Wiggly, Subway for a quick lunch and finally Aggie's Pizza for one of the best burgers I've ever had. At this location you are about 20 minutes from downtown New Bern with it's fine dining and historic tours. The property was spotless and equiped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the gym was well equipped and my view from the bedroom deck with my morning coffee was beautiful/relaxing. We took short trips to Beaufort, Emerald Isle and visited a Turtle Rescue hospital. We will return for another visit!

Engagement photo trip
My fiance and I have stayed at many places over the years and this is by far the best. We traveled with my 12 year old dog who absolutely loved the property. The house was spacious and very clean. The extra touches like breakfast food in the fridge and the coffee station made the trip so special. There was even an iron in the closet to help us look nice before our pictures. I can’t reccomend this place enough. The hosts are very kind and came over to say hello.

Most enjoyed vacation ever
My husband and I decided on a nice quiet time away, celebrating our 31st anniversary and were so fortunate to come upon this place after searching for private farm setting nearby with walking track. We wanted away from the noise and crowded streets we were looking for relaxation, peace and tranquility, and that is exactly what we found at Wallace Meadows farm Guest House. This place was simply amazing, and had everything that we could possibly have needed and more. Shortly after we arrived, Rich drove up on his Kubota to welcome us, and told us if there was anything we needed to please let them know. The guest house was well stocked with breakfast items, the danish pastries were delicious well-stocked with coffee, tea cereal , 0J, milk, bathroom items galore, comfortable bed, and a breathtaking view of their beautiful farm. We ask Rich for some eggs and hamburger, so shortly after Tisha came over with it and we had such a nice conversation. Their hospitality is second to none so down to earth and easy to talk to, and we absolutely love their golden doodle Ginger. Our shihpoo Boomer even loved her and he never likes bigger dogs. We mainly enjoyed sitting out on the balcony, listening to the peaceful sound of the water fountain, watching Rich each morning as he came out to feed the cattle. We took notice of how protective Dominick the donkey was over the cows. Loved the walking track all around the farm, and to top it all off we had the most amazing host ever!!

Grandson Visit
We were able to stay very close to our grandchildren while visiting. We were not traveling back and forth to a hotel taking an hour to make a round trip. This allowed us to visit longer and spend time with family. We appreciated the cleanliness of our unit and the hospitality of our host.

Rich and Tish are great hosts; they are friendly and they make you feel like you are at home at their place. Rich and Tish made suggestions for us to try and we loved them, the suggestions were a welcome bonus because we have never been to their area. The property was clean and everything a person could want on vacation. My husband and I are already planning on coming back. This rental is five stars all the way around.

Perfect for the family!
Five stars isn't enough! The property is beautiful and Rich and Tisha are fantastic hosts. The accomodations are 2nd to none. We stayed with our two young boys and they enjoyed every minute. Feeding the cows was a favorite for our youngest. We enjoyed walking around the peaceful property and drinking our morning coffee on the balcony...what a great view! The farm fresh eggs provided for breakfast were delicious. The ground beef available for purchase was fantastic and a must buy for anyone staying here. Already looking forward to our trip next year!

Short weekend trip
Rich and Tisha offer a very comfortable and well equipped home for their guests. It was “hands-down” the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Their hospitality and the nice extras they offered were so nice. They treat their guests like family and make sure that everything is taken care of. The property was beautiful, the furnishings were clean and comfortable, and the beds were perfect! They provided breakfast foods and water. Just so very thoughtful! I would highly recommend this property!

Fantastic! We Did Not Want to Leave
Absolutely fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about the experience at the Wallace Meadows Farm guest house. The hospitality is off the charts. My husband and I spent a long New Year's weekend with our fur baby, Rudy. We learned so much about the farm and animals from Rich, and even got to feed the cows! The guest house is comfortable, very clean, very well appointed, and charming. Being greeted by Rich (a top notch host), a bottle of wine, and a bounty of breakfast items was just the beginning of our adventure. We spent our time walking the trails on the property, relaxing on the upper porch overlooking the tranquil farm setting, meeting the farm animals (the bull is a must see), and exploring New Bern. What an absolutely relaxing and fun filled stay. Already rebooked for a return visit! After staying in many different places traveling around the Carolinas, we have never stayed at one (until this one) where we absolutely did not want to leave. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place! See you soon!

Amazing stay
We had so much fun. I have never stayed away from home at a place and it felt as homey as this one. It was a very comfortable environment. Trish and Rich were absolutely amazing and thought with everything you could possibly need. The only thing that I needed that I didn’t have with my stay with some olive oil. That’s not a complaint at all because that something that I should have remembered to bring but if there was anything else I needed it was already at the guest house. The eggs were amazing and thought it was a nice surprise to have each morning. We stayed on the account of it being my husband‘s birthday and Rich and Trish came over and brought each of us a nice cheesecake dessert for his birthday that even had candles on top. I will be staying again and I can’t wait to see the full outcome of the camping section.

Perfect and comfortable!
Perfect apartment for what we needed! Upon arrival there was a note and a bottle of wine left by the owners Rich and Tisha. Cereal, fruit, milk, orange juice and farm fresh eggs were there supplied by our hosts. The location ended up working out great as well. One direction was ECU and the other Sneads Ferry, two places we needed to be on this trip. We will definitely be back, thank you again!

Terrific dog friendly escape
Absolutely loved our stay. Only regret is that we only had one night. Such a relaxing, serene setting and gracious, friendly hosts. Tons of space for the dogs to run around, and only time we put them on leash was during part of our mile long walk around the cow pastures, when the boys were a bit uncertain at first on meeting the cows and donkey. We put thrm on leash just so the boys would not worry the cattle/chickens. Enjoyed the thoughtful food options provided by the hosts. Will absolutely look to stay here again in the future - just for more than one night! 😎👍

Comfortable, Quiet Holiday Weekend
This was our 2nd stay at Wallace Meadows Farm. It provided exactly what we were looking for...a quiet, comfortable escape from July 4th craziness. Rich & Tisha are wonderfully kind, accommodating hosts. The guest house is spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished & tastefully decorated. The farm is a scenic spot with entertainment provided by cows, chickens & a donkey. When we arrived, the guesthouse was stocked with an assortment of breakfast goodies & farm-fresh eggs. The small gym below the guesthouse (4 machines & some dumbbells), as well as the 1-mile walking trail around the farm, made it easy to stay active without leaving the property. For those seeking more sightseeing & dining options, the historic town of New Bern is close by. Overall, we highly recommend the Wallace Meadows Farm Guesthouse, and we will surely return.

Perfect Farm Stay, the kids loved it!
We can’t say enough good things about this property! The hosts have thought of everything and their attention to detail is outstanding. It had all the amenities we could have needed and many we hadn’t even thought of! One of the best surprises was a full size crib in the master closet for our one year old. It made for a nice little separate room for him and all the beds were very soft and comfortable. It’s been awhile since we’ve all slept that well! Hands down the best property and host combination we’ve had at a Vrbo!

The home was beautiful and charming . Every detail was carefully planned. When arriving we were met by the owner and their beautiful dog Ginger Rich was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed and more. We started to get our things in and noticed a bottle of wine and glasses put out for us. Pastries,milk, orange juice two kinds of cereal so if we came in late we could enjoy breakfast. So thoughtful. So many more amenities I can't even tell you about all of them. The most wonderful place we've ever stayed at.

Peaceful, beautiful property
Our stay here was amazing. The Wallaces included all kinds of personal touches: farm fresh eggs, danishes, Keurig coffee pods, and a complimentary bottle of wine, just to name a few! Mr. Wallace came over to greet us when we arrived, and we totally felt at home. There is a nice trail and river access, and our dog was intensely curious about the cows! Would recommend to anyone and would be thrilled to stay here again.

The Wallace’s have created an idyllic place for a relaxing getaway vacation. Our young hound enjoyed meeting the cows and other farm animals…. Even made distant friends with Dominick the burro. We enjoyed the bounty of eggs from the hens; all the other amenities; and most of all, the kindness and attention from our host. Book it if you can!!

Perfect peaceful getaway
This place is fantastic! We didn't want to leave! Spotlessly clean, with everything you could possibly want or need, and then some. The pictures do not do it justice. We loved the walking trail, the camp down by the river, the fishing pond, the swing, the horseshoe pit, the upper deck, the views, the animals; everything! We wish we could give it more than 5 stars!

Best stay ever!
We are travel bloggers and are on the road continuously. We stay in vacation rentals only, and this is the cleanest and most beautiful place. So many places look great in pictures, but after a month's stay, I can tell you this house is amazing, beautiful and the cleanest place we've ever stayed. After our months stay, I can tell you we loved the hosts, are wonderful people. The farm is stunning, massive, and the cows, chickens, and donkey are wonderful to wake up to with the stunning sunrises. There is so much to do! Work out in the new gym and sauna, walk the 1 mile well-kept trail around the farm, play horseshoes, swing on the wooden swing overlooking the farm, or sit around the fire ring and watch the stars pop from the black sky. I cannot say enough about this amazing location and hosts- simply amazing.

Wow! We were so happy with our accommodations at the guest house. We had everything we needed: comfortable beds, clean facilities, privacy, beautiful location, and some unexpected extras that made us feel welcome. We visited New Bern for groceries. A visit to the beach was just about an hour away. We liked being away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to enjoy nearby attractions. We're 100% satisfied with our recent stay. If we're ever in NC again, we'd love to stay here again!

Perfect July 4th Getaway!
My wife & I were looking for a quiet place to celebrate July 4th away from crowds & traffic. Wallace Meadows Farm Guesthouse exceeded our expectations. The farm is a beautiful, peaceful setting with cows grazing in the pasture & chickens roaming around the pond. The guesthouse is very comfortable, nicely furnished & tastefully decorated. As pointed out in several other reviews, Rich & Tisha are wonderful hosts. They go well above & beyond to assure an enjoyable stay. In addition to supplying everything that we could possible need in the guesthouse, they delivered farm fresh eggs to us each day! The scenic ~1 mile walking trail around the farm and the small (but well equipped) private gym helped us work off all of the delicious meals we prepared in the well stocked kitchen. We will certainly return again!

Really enjoyed our time at the guest house. It was so comfortable we hated to leave. In case you have forgotten something the Wallaces have thought of everything you need. It's fun to wander around the farm and close enough to explore New Bern and Kinston. There is a store in Trenton only about 6 miles away if you need groceries.

This was a perfect getaway. Our boys were already planning another visit:-) We loved the space inside & out. Rich & Tish are really amazing and so genuine. We loved the trails around the farm & down by the river. Our dog loved the wide open space to run & her play time with Ginger. The boys enjoyed the freedom of going fishing when ever they wanted & I could enjoy watching them on the balcony drinking my coffee. The home is well appointed & very clean.
