“We are a group of older couples from different parts of the country who get together once or twice a year. This time oir destination was Maine and BHVC was wonderful. Multiple locations, in and out, for different activities and conversations. The deck is perfect too. The kitchen is well supplied for when we wanted to cook in. “Great solo trip option and completely as advertised. Nice spot for getting to the National Park especially the less explored Schoodic Peninsula but not a taxing drive to Mount Desert Island either. “Location, cleanliness, amenities were all a 10, but the downstairs bed was hard as a rock, and the others were so so. Comfortable beds are a must, Invest in some better bedding and this place would be a perfect 10. I would also suggest a queen sized bed for the downstairs bedroom. “Great location for hiking Acadia NP. Inquired if there was a fire pit, the booking agency said no, but we found out as we were leaving that there was a shared fire pit-disappointed. “Myself and my family stayed at this property for a week. Had a few bumps when we first got there but the property manager was absolutely amazing. Responded immediately and got everything straightened out. The property is beautiful whether you are outside or looking out from inside. Was further than I thought from Acadia but we managed. No issues with the hot water and there were 6 of us. We had fun filled days and very peaceful relaxing evenings. Wonderful rental.”
