AVOID- poorly maintained and below expectations
Stayed here for 2 nights with family plus our private driver as part of a whistle-stop tour of Sri Lanka. Our first impressions were quite bad. Hotels in Sri Lanka routinely provide/arrange accommodation for drivers (either for a price or sometimes for free). Jacob made it seem like drivers are not worthy of staying in the vicinity of guests as they "disturb the look of the hotel and the other guests". In fact, as we were unloading bags, he straight up asked our driver where he would be staying (without our knowledge). This made us quite angry but we made adjustments and kept our driver with us in our room as there were enough beds in the 2 rooms. The hotel was very poorly maintained and we realised this from the get-go. For example, the bed sheets were stained/ dirty, the taps in the shower came loose, another tap was leaking, the shower stand was broken and falling out the wall, the water heater would make weird sounds, the AC in one of the rooms would sometimes not work etc. It was quite clear that the hotel was poorly maintained. Compared to some of the other hotels we stayed in during this trip in various places (Kandy, Dambulla, Ella, Jaffna, Colombo, Tangalle) which were at similar price points, this hotel was far below the standard. The only positives were the food (decent) and the WiFi. I felt sorry for the owner as it seemed a bit delusional. We regretted staying here for 2 nights and it was honestly a bit of a nightmare. We were glad to be leaving.

Thanks a lot for your valuable comments. It is sad to note that it was a nightmare. This is the first time I have got many complains from you. Soon as you all walked we had a misunderstanding and argument between us and from there on wards everything seems to reflect has broken, not functioning, linen not good. A/C not working, Heater is giving weird sound If so why did you all stay with us for two days. You all should have immediately cancelled your reservation and moved out from our Hotel. I would have appreciated if you have done so. I would like to give a bit of a advise, in future if you walk in to any hotels and if things are not according to your standard and status it is better to move out immediately and avoid giving bad impression of the Hotel.

Nice hotel close to the beach
We are a couple from Cyprus and we stayed at this hotel for a total of 2 nights. This is a relatively new hotel right by the beach. The people are very friendly and they do homemade cooked meals and breakfast. The owner Jaycob is a very nice and friendly person who is always willing to help. On our last day we had to leave early so they made home made rotis for us to take with us and I must say they were the best breakfast rotis we had in Sri Lanka. The hotel is a few minute walk from the main road which has many tuk tuks and buses that can take you anywhere for a low fare.

Premetto che non è un hotel, ha solo 4 stanze... comunque la struttura è molto carina e minimal, il personale a gestione familiare devo dire che è stato altamente disponibile( di base hanno regole in cui puliscono la camera ogni 3 giorni( io stavo 4 giorni!?!).

A eviter.. arnaque
L hôtelier pratique le surbooking. A l arrivee pas de chambre et on nous met dans l hôtel en face. Dans une minuscule chambre double au lieu de la chambre familiale précédemment réservé. Apres verif le prix de cette chambre etait deux fois inferieur. L hôtelier ne veut pas rembourser la différence... nous avons fait une réclamation.
