The Cabin is just a short distance to the Yaak River Country on the other side of Troy. This is the location of the popular Mountain Men program on T.V. It's very remote, please be sure to visit the Dirty Shame Bar up the Yaak which is a Montana tradition. My uncle was working up the Yaak for the Forest Service in the 1960's and is one of my earliest memories of coming to visit this area of Montana in the 60's. Uncle Dal helped to save the Ross Cedars from being logged back then and now they are being enjoyed for their special place in Montana thanks to him and his co-workers. The Ross Cedars are on the way to Thompson Falls just past Bull Lake, about 15 minutes from the Cabin. Enjoy your time here in Western Montana! -- Tom.
