Our family had a wonderful experience staying here. This was our first road trip, and the property was perfect for families with children of all ages. The home was spotless, well equipped with thoughtful touches for both babies and older kids, and the host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We truly appreciated the comfort and care put into every detail and would gladly return in the future.

Perfect for Family Trip

The property was a perfect "base camp" for a family hiking trip. The kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms tucked quietly away from central living space, and hot tub was clean and easy to operate. Ideal for our group of kids and adults.

Lovely house, great playroom for the kids, very cool master suite. Only downside was large amounts of dog poop in the back yard, clean up after your pets!

Beautiful mountain paradise

This home is great for families. Hot tub, great playroom upstairs with arcade game! The kitchen is well stocked, refrigerator with water & ice in the door, Nespresso machine The location is perfect for anyone that loves the out-of-doors. 20 minute walk to Prosser reservoir, lots of walking trails. Easy access to Truckee. Would highly recommend this property.

Great cozy house!

We had a great time in Tahoe/Truckee. The house is nicely decorated and comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied. Loved having a fenced yard for the dog and kid to play. For people with mobility issues, this house is on 4 different levels with all the bedrooms on the basement level. The only exit to the backyard is through the primary bedroom sliding door, with stairs down that got a little icy. Chris was responsive when we had a question and the neighborhood was nice as well. Thanks!

Spring ski and birthday

Pleasantly surprised it had two 1/2 bathrooms and two full bathrooms. Teens loved the arcade game room . The hot tub was perfect for after travel and skiing! The shower water could have been hotter but we didn’t know we could turn up thermostat. There was extra coffee and filters although we brought our own. We did see a crockpot and waffle maker. Overall , the home and kitchen were well appointed and everyone was comfortable. We definitely would rent this lovely home again!

Kids and dogs

We stayed with our two small kids and two dogs. We chose the property so our dogs would have a safe fenced in place to play and it was close to family living in town. There were lots of things for my 3yo to play with in the upstairs loft and also the kids room downstairs. The only con to the place was all the stairs. It was hard with the kids and even my dogs. They aren’t used to needing stairs to get everywhere in our house. Also the only way to access the yard from inside the house was thru the master bedroom and down more stairs. The kitchen had everything we needed and had lots of plates and utensils for my toddler. Overall it was a great place to stay and my family would stay again.

Great family getaway

This was a great place for our family. The fenced in yard was perfect for our pet. The kids loved the loft area. My only wish were if there were more than one dish/kitchen towel available.

Great House in a Quiet Location

The house was well stocked and incredibly clean upon arrival. We enjoyed the hot tub, the large living and dining room, the well equipped kitchen (a Nespresso machine!), and the quiet location. Our dog loved the large backyard, and the dog crate in the house was a nice bonus. Despite staying during a 90+ degree heatwave, the house was very comfortable when we opened windows at night and closed them in the morning- it stayed cool inside all day. We loved our stay here!

Wonderful home away from home

We stay in Truckee several times a year, and this is probably our favorite place we’ve stayed yet. We stayed in the summertime. This home is spacious and comfortable, with so many thoughtful details for our family which includes 2 young kids and a small dog. The kitchen was big enough to move around and make and serve some nice meals. The dining table was so long, we reserved a section for assembling our jigsaw puzzle. There is also a comfortable “kids lounge” as my kids called it. My husband and I squeezed in some work calls and the wifi was sufficient, with a nice office space. The neighborhood is also very friendly with many locals, not tourists, and so many friendly dogs. The bathrooms and hot tub are also very nice, and the beds were comfortable. The location is convenient but not too close to busy roads.
