Best ever rental

This property was fantastic. I have rented dozens of rental properties around the world. This one was well appointed, and my family enjoyed the stay immensely we would come back.

House is funky, but bring your own stuff

We stay at/around Northstar throughout ski season, year after year. This house only had 2 reviews, one was pretty bad- but I decided to take my chances that they upped their game and the hot tub would work and trash would be cleared out. We were hoping for a gang of ravens that was previously complained about. The house itself was weird and spacious and you can tell the original owner put a lot of time into the customizations. The house is large with ample space for everyone. The views are lovely and the wood fireplace was great. When we arrived, there was a mystery wet-spot next to the master bed, I sent a message to Vacasa and they responded pretty quickly apologizing for it and offered to bring a blower to dry it. I said I put towels down and it should be an issue but that it was gross. And it was. It was passed off like a spot clean, but the towels ended up yellowed, spotty and the carpet beneath was dirty. Ew. The bedding is really cheap, has a very strong fragrance of detergent or spray and even the kids complained. The pillows are flat and cheap and just bring your own. The kitchen was a disaster of what seemed like stuff just left behind. All kinds of accessories thrown into drawers and cabinets, some is helpful like a peeler but most are junk/broken/dirty/missing pieces. Bring your own cookware. Vacasa was nonresponsive the rest of the trip and thought we had already left so didn't answer questions.

What a Rip Off

This house could be great, but sadly, there are many issues and horrendous management. The hot tub did not work....at first the heat was turned up so high that it scalded my son. We turned the heat down and followed all instructions, yet it never re-heated. So that was a major fail. There is also a really nice deck to sit on and enjoy a view...except you cannot go out there because it is overrun by ravens who have a giant nest in the eve of the roof and have pooped everywhere. Another fail. In addition, we entered the garage to find it full of the prior renter's trash bags. And mice everywhere. It was disgusting. We saw the garbage men and ran all of the bags out to them, picking up all of the trash as the rotten bags ripped. I asked for a small amount of money to be returned given all of the deficiencies. Vacasa only responded to my request with accusations such as " we are just wondering why you didn't reach out until after your stay?" WOW. Well Vacasa....we were attempting to make the most of the trip and ski with a total of five children, so not a lot of time to hunt down non-existent managers, or wait on the phone or write emails. I cannot believe the rudeness. I hate to leave such a bad review, but this was all just totally unacceptable.
