"2泊3日、7人でとても楽しく過ごすことができました。迷惑メールにチェックインのメールが届いてしまっていて、さらに消えてしまって暗証番号が見られなくなってしまい、管理人に電話させてもらいました。その時の対応もとても優しく、無事に中に入ることができました。ログハウスに行くまでの道がとても狭く、野生の鹿もいて、こんなところに本当にログハウスがあるのか？？と心配になりましたが、ちゃんとありました！キッチン用品がもっとピカピカならさらにいいのになぁと思いました。そのため、清潔さは星3です。割り箸や紙皿を使いました。 BBQも最高に楽しかったです。屋根がちゃんとあって雨でも問題なくできました。大きなスクリーンでSwitchをするのは初めてで、とても盛り上がりました。とにかく楽しかったので、また行きたいし、おすすめです。"

YuYu Hakone - Private Open Air Onsen Usage Guaranteed

8/10 Good

"This was a no frills, older hotel with nothing around but it was well maintained and clean and the staff was very friendly & helpful and spoke some English. There is a toilet & sink in the room but no tub or shower--you need to go downstairs for the shower and onsen but it's for your own private use (reserve your time to use at the front desk). The bus stop is in front of the hotel but only runs twice every hour. Within a 13-minute walk is the ropeway at Ubako which will take you down to Lake Ashinoko area where you can catch the pirate ship. Having the Hakone Freepass is highly recommended as you can use it many times on the ropeway and pirate ship as well as the Tozan buses. It also gives you discounts at various tourist attractions."

"The room felt quite old and had a noticeable musty smell. There was also a significant amount of dust in the room, and I could see dust particles floating in the air. During my stay, my skin became irritated and itchy, which may have been related to the room environment. I hope the hotel can improve its cleaning standards, especially by vacuuming more thoroughly and addressing the musty odor. This would make the stay much more comfortable for future guests."

"The hotel is excellent. But there are a few things we really did not like. If you try to call the reception, they hardly can speak English, always sorry, only Japanese. Then we lost our bag in the bus and asked the hotel after checkout to help us claim the bag, they just send us a phone number for the bus station, I could look this up myself. And I even tried to call the bus station, but they only speak Japanese, that’s why I have ask the hotel to help us. Luckily our next hotel in Sapporo called the bus station and we got our bag back. Finally the dinner is super Westernized. If you expect a full Japanese buffet, don’t go there, unless you want to eat Mac and cheese… and French fries…"

"Beautiful luxury hotel with amazing attentive staff. They prioritize making you feel welcome and as comfortable as possible including giving a tour of the main areas and your room when you get there. The dinner and breakfast are also amazing - our server Yuri was so sweet! We also had a phenomenal view of Mount Fuji in the early morning and the after+dinner Taiko drum show was a highlight. We only stayed for one night but it was certainly memorable and hopefully can return for longer in the future. Definitely recommend for a high-end stay near Mount Fuji!"
