About this space
On the edge of the Saguaro National park, experience the desert in this quiet, comfortable home. Near both Old Tucson and the Desert museum. This area offers great hiking trails and the serenity of this unique hideaway
The space
This home is located 13 minutes to both the Desert museum and Old Tucson. There are many gorgeous hiking trails in this area as well. You will be surrounded by saguaro cactus, ocotillo and many varities of native plants.
This is a very comfortable two bedroom, two bath home with a private carport, fenced yard and nice porches on both the back and front of the house. Very quiet and peaceful. Except for the sound of doves, owls, quail and other native birds.
If you'd like to experience one of the most beautiful deserts, this is the place for you.

What a wonderful desert getaway! If you love the desert as much as we do you will be very happy here. Coming from the Midwest it was cool to have a yard full of cacti and my very own saguaros for the week. Birds ( many different varieties) cottontails, Quail, even saw 2 coyotes and a beautiful Harris hawk came by one morning. It was an unseasonably hot week , Kristine was wonderful and made sure we stayed cool.Thank you so much you were an awesome host! We would stay here again.

The home was very clean, nice amenities, comfortable beds, nice towels. The weather was hot, low 90’s, the air conditioning did not keep the cottage even close to cool. We would have opened the windows but most windows did not have screens so we couldn’t open them without a lot of insects coming in. The sliding glass door to the screened porch is hard to open/close. The steps into both the front and back doors are very narrow. The fenced backyard is okay except both dogs stepped on cholla requiring tweezers to remove the spines. Pet owners should be encouraged to bring booties to protect the dogs paws.

The property was extremely clean and we especially appreciated the comfortable furniture. It's the number one feature we look for in a property. Not all the windows have screens on them, which made it difficult to open up the house for the wonderfully cool evenings.

My wife and I enjoyed our two week stay at the Cozy Desert Hideaway. The host, Kristine, was fantastic with very prompt communications and the her cleaning specialist made a mid-stay refresh. The place offered wild life sightings and was located near the Desert Museum and the Saguaro National Park (west). Would definitely stay again.

Great spot to watch the sunset.Very close to the Saguaro National Park and AZ Sonoran Desert museum. 30-minute drive to grocery store, restaurants, etc. Home could use a little TLC, evidence of water damage, outlet box hanging out of living room wall, shower door does not close.

Kristine is an amazing host. The house had everything we could need, including very comfortable mattresses! Beautiful scenery, quiet and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cozy Hideaway! Kristine is a first class host! The house was clean and in perfect order. The location is outstanding, offering many accessible options for day activities and sunsets are spectacular! We enjoyed having the ability to have nightly campfires and listen to "the yodel dogs". Exquisite Desert Setting

We loved sitting in the patio, front and back, and listening to the birds and looking at the clouds. The saguaro happened to be blooming and the Common Blackhawk returned for spring activities. Hiking trails are close by and beautiful. A wonderful time.

Tucson area getaway

We prefer to stay in out of the way, quiet, more remote areas. This property was perfect! The location was very close to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and all the hiking trails in the west section of the Saguaro Natl Park. Easy enough access to Tucson.

If you like the desert . . .

My wife and I have been coming to Tucson in the spring for many years, and we always look for secluded homes in the desert. This one was the best in that regard. The desert around it is outstanding. On the inside, furnishings are basic but clean - more than suitable for our needs. We were extremely impressed with how well the house was provisioned, right down to hand cream and toothpaste. And finally, Kristine was an excellent host and very responsive - we had a bad windstorm one day that blew a panel on the front awning loose, and when I messaged her about it, she was there in five minutes to fix it. We are definitely planning on a return visit next spring.

Desert Retreat

With a comfortable living room and front and back patios there was plenty of space to relax and enjoy the warm sunshine, amazing sunsets, and twinkling stars. The host was easily accessible and the property was well cared for. The property was close to several attractions (Saguaro Nat. Park, Desert Museum, Old Tucson and lots of hiking trails). Tucson and city activities were a bit of a drive but the scenery was always beautiful!

Perfect Place to Experience Saguaro NP

If you want a remote location with easy access to the park, this is a great choice. Owner was responsive and helpful, offering recommendations. Super quiet and peaceful. Would stay again!
