"We had a lovely stay at Akra Hotel and were particularly impressed by the majority of the staff.
The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Tuna and Islam. They greeted us so warmly, made special arrangements for our anniversary and always said hello whenever we passed. Islam also gave us an amazing room — middle floor, middle room, with an unbelievable view!
The pool staff were fantastic. They were friendly, very quick with drinks and payments, and always tried to help guests find available loungers. When our belongings were moved one day, they kindly explained why and were very helpful.
The bar staff were mostly friendly, apart from one lady working evenings who was quite miserable whenever we asked for something. We asked for tea to take to our room and, unlike the other staff, she made us feel as though it was an inconvenience.
The room itself was beautiful and our cleaner was lovely, but I felt the cleaning could have been more thorough. Despite tipping daily, the floor was never properly mopped and sweeping was minimal.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The beautiful rooms, incredible views and welcoming staff made it a memorable anniversary, with special thanks to Tuna and Islam for making us feel so welcome."
