"Our family really enjoyed our week-long stay! Four adults and two children (ages 9 and 11). We went out on the lake in a rowboat a few times, roasted s'mores over a campfire by the shoreline, and cooked meals on the large gas grill on the deck. There was lots of comfortable seating inside, and a screened in porch with chairs and table was perfect for playing boardgames in the evening. Downtown Minocqua was a 15 minute drive away. The owner was very responsive and helpful. There were a few minor hiccups with our stay involving internet, hot water, and the washing machine--but they were quickly resolved same-day or next day at the latest. There was no air conditioning, but many fans were supplied and a dip in the lake provided plenty of cooling. By the middle of the week the temperatures dipped from 90s into mid 50s, so we ended up making a fire in the fireplace too (dry firewood was also supplied). Bugs were plentiful (it is a cabin in the woods, after all) but plenty of bug spray was provided and the window and door screens were effective at keeping them out of the cabin. Definitely recommended! "

"I liked the renovations they made to the hotel since our last visit. Water pressure was great, room clean, bathroom clean. Parking excellent, I asked for a first floor room and that was honored when we got there. We just wanted some waffles or eggs, a hot breakfast in the morning. "

"All kind of birds singing. Very peaceful. The owner was kind enough to spray for mosquitoes which helped slot. Tree branches, brush & logs in water made kayak/ rowboat access very difficult."

"Great overall. Cabin was clean and cozy but a little heavy with furniture to navigate around. No toliet so thank gooodness I packed some and left a couple rola for the next guests. I’m convinced the giant tadpoles ate all the fish…not even a nibble. The hill going up to the cabin can be tough for someone with health issues. Big rocks along the shoreline makes it dificult to get in the water. Overall, it was a great stay with a nicely secluded can in the woods. My favorite part was the firepit. "

"We are not very experienced with staying in other’s homes, but really am starting to love it! I wish we could have enjoyed it more! We were up for a 2 day funeral event, and the timing of events limited us. I loved that our kids could spread out. My only regret was I never looked at the other bathroom until we were leaving! Our kids got that one, the master bath while my husband and I got the other!My husband and I haven’t slept in a double bed for over 20 years, that really took a second to get used to!Thank you for lending us your home!!"

It fit out group of 8 adults and two young children perfectly. Half a mile from boat ramp and great Northern Pike fishing the whole week. Thanks for a great experience! Would definitely recommend!"
