“Nice place close to the beach, pleasant surroundings and you can watch the birds and couple of squirrels playing around :) Friendly stuff. ”

“Hotel was excellent. Tucked away in nature looking over the lagoon and a 5 min walk away from a quiet beach. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Room was clean and very large with a balcony looking out over the pool. Breakfast was tasty and the restaurant served a great dinner. The beach has turtles nesting and hatching at night time. Would come back!”

“We just stayed for one night but would happily stay again. Amazing view from the pool and restaurant. Friendly staff. Our room was big and clran”

“The towel rack was broken, the shower screen was not waterproof, and there was an extra bed in the room on top of the king bed, which I had not asked for since I was travelling alone. The breakfast was overpriced at USD$12 but was not worth it. ”

“The place was great. The owner, Mrs. Pr****, was fantastic and the food was beyond compare. My brother and I got back late one evening (from a safari she had arranged) and she made us the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Definitely recommend it.”

“Every member of staff that we met from arrival to departure was fantastic. Very polite, courteous & extremely helpful. Catered for all our needs. We booked this place last minute due to having to change our original plan (Kandy & Ella) because of the recent Cyclone. Although Lagoon Gate can appear a little isolated it is an absolute gem as you are in and amongst nature & right on the Lagoons edge. It is so easy to get out & about, the staff will order Tuk Tuks or Taxis for you or if you feel……

“Einfach traumhaft.

“We stayed here for 3 nights and it was incredible. The room was spacious and we got a room overlooking the sea, which was fantastic. It was clean and cozy, and very quiet and peaceful at night. Rosemary, our front desk host was also lovely. She always had a little chat with us during breakfast each morning. The villa is right in the middle of Tangalle, and we made a few day trips from there, each around an hour or more away. Even so, it felt really nice coming back to Ziba after a day out……
