Comfortable and roomy spot in a great location

Hiking in Joshua Tree

The VRBO description and photos are very accurate, and the location is even better. We stayed one week at Travis' house so that we could enjoy a good number of hikes in the desert (which is wonderful in April). The drive to the west entrance is only 12-15 minutes, and so we could start early, avoid crowds, and return each afternoon to enjoy the hot tub, exceptional rooms and landscaped yards and to cook our meals in the well-furnished kitchen and to watch the stars each evening. We have stayed at many VRBO homes, and this one is certainly among the very best. I hope we can return soon,

Really beautiful home

This house was literally perfect and peaceful, it was very clean. The backyard is insane and even the stars at night are just amazing, I would highly recommend anybody to go to this house. The beds were comfortable they were clean. We were using the grill and the kitchen to cook food and it was just perfect. There’s a window in the kitchen overlooking the mountains and that really did blow my mind. I had no problems at all.

Absolutely stellar property and management

Of all my (around 10-15) short term rentals so far, this was absolutely the best. The property itself is immaculate and clearly decorated with attention and love. The outdoor areas in particular are extraordinarily well appointed, allowing for varied experiences (swingset, couch, tables and chairs, hottub etc.) making stay within the home extremely pleasurable. The kitchen is very well equipped and house is well stocked for large parties (we were only 2). Cleanness and maintenance inside and out is impeccable. Access to JT for hiking is easy, and host responsiveness was "immediate". There is no question that if when head to Joshua Tree the next time, this will be the first choice if available.

Wonderful home in Joshua Tree, CA

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Travis' home over a long weekend in early April. The pictures don't do justice as to how clean and nicely remodeled and decorated this home is. The two bedrooms are very comfortable, which, along with the quiet residential neighborhood, ensured consistently good night's sleep. The living room couches were also comfortable and the smart LED lights added to the vibe. The dining area will seat 6 comfortably and was where we took breakfast and played games (we never turned the TV on). The kitchen more than met our needs for preparing a hot breakfast and light snacks. Given the time of year, we did not need heat nor AC. The hot water was great and, most importantly, the wifi was fast and reliable! We really enjoyed the yard, too. There are several sitting areas to choose from sprinkled around the yard, along with some cool artwork. My 20+ year-old daughter and I enjoyed our morning french press coffee on the tiled patio and I took a nap on one of the hammocks under the tree. The hot tub was a great place to relax and gaze at the stars. There is a gas grill if you prefer to cook outdoors. The stay was made easier by the very helpful binder with clear instructions and places to see and things to do. All in all, a great stay. We would definitely stay here again when in the area and highly recommend to anyone planning a visit.

Cozy, well thought, scenic

The grounds were well-kept, artwork delightful, amenities were on point. Great instructions and communication. Guest bed more firm than main but both had great features and light. Lighting options were fun.

Perfect property

This property is exactly as described online. The house was clean and beautiful, and we loved the unique artwork. Beds and furniture were comfortable. The best part though is the backyard. The hot tub was perfect to see all of the stars and relax after a long day at the park. It was close to the Joshua tree entrance and lots of places to eat and shop. Travis‘s communication was great too. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful serene home within minutes of Joshua Tree NP!

My wife and I absolutely loved our time spent at Travis' home near Joshua Tree. We came to hike our faces off and then relax in the hot tub and recuperate at the end of the day, and that's exactly what we did! We were right at home at this rental and would absolutely stay again!

This property was very comfortable and clean inside and out. It has beautiful desert views in the front and backyard. Sitting outside in the morning watching the sunrise over the Joshua trees was so relaxing. The hot tub was clean and felt amazing after long hikes in Joshua Tree NP. The owner communicated well with details. I’d highly recommend this home away from home.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay and found the location and setting perfect for our week in Joshua Tree. Although we did not meet Travis in person, he was a good host and communicated with us as needed. We appreciated the simplicity and peacefulness of the setting. The kitchen was adequately stocked so we were able to easily prepare meals. We would return for sure!

Creative place to relax

My daughter & I came out to the west coast for the first time mainly to see her husband who is at 29 palms marine base. We selected this spot as it seemed perfect for us to stay, relax and, explore the west coast a bit. The entire property was so artistically decorated & clean. Communication with Travis was on point & check in was a breeze. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, creative & clean spot to get away.

Just what the doctor ordered....

I needed a few days break from Los Angeles and found the perfect retreat here. I was by myself for this trip, so the home was much more than I alone needed, but offered everything I wanted and needed. It was close enough to other homes and town in case of needs or emergency but also perfectly quiet and serene, a huge reason for travelling to the desert. And extra close to the park, so easy for waking early to do a sunrise hike. The property feels actually quite spacious, but intimate, with extra comfy bed, coffee making options, streaming options and... hammocks! and hot tub! and porch swing! Lovely grounds to watch the birds and, during my visit, multiple families of baby bunnies! Creative nooks for quiet relaxation abound. And the artwork and nature tokens and treasures are a feast for the eyes inside. The remote for the mood lighting is incredible. Many color options to fit the moment. So peaceful, relaxing and inspiring all at once. Many thanks!!! P.S. I hit a wrong button on the television remote and was blocked out and lost. Being alone and technically challenged, this was a big problem. Texted and Travis came by shortly to correct the issue. What service and care. I could have lived without the t.v. but Greatly appreciated the quick help! Will be staying here again asap.
