Cozy getaway

We had a quick overnight stay for a wedding- the owners were very accommodating letting us check in early and had a nice welcome basket of goodies that was much appreciated. Hope to be back again for longer than a nite to really enjoy the property and area!

Should have planned a longer stay here!

Part of a cross country tour, we picked this vrbo for its proximity to the park. It proved to be a great 'home base' for us - plenty of room, away from the crowds, nestled in a hillside with a picturesque views all around. The house is a sort of eclectic assemblage which the owners have done a terrific job of making a welcoming restful retreat. My wife and I both enjoyed it thoroughly, highly recommend!

The highlight of the vacation

This place was beyond expectations. The house itself was the COOLEST. It was clean and comfortable. The location could not be beat. We watched the desert sunset on the hill next to the house and it was like nothing I’ve ever seen. The hosts were super friendly and communicative. I would 100% stay here again.

Joshua Tree Adjacent

This was the second home we rented in the area to offer quick and easy access to Joshua Tree National Park. This one is definitely worthy of a return visit...roomy, clean, and very comfortable. Even the stars at night performed as promised. Bonus Points: an EV charging station located a 1-minute drive, 10-minute walk away!

Such a lovely retreat!

My husband and I decided not to camp at the park this year and make it easy on us. Good thing we did! It was windy and cold (for us) at that time we went. The Ridge was just such a relaxing place that you could really feel you are at home. They have a wood burning fireplace where we were able to cozy up and make s'mores instead of the backyard fire pit (it was windy and cold). After a tiring day at Joshua Tree National park (exploring and hiking), it was so lovely to come home to our little oasis. The hosts, Jeff and Brittany were so on top of everything! They had a welcome basket with goodies, perfect instructions on how to locate the house and even little tips (like to explore the 5 acre property with a bench to view the sunset or sunrise). Communication was key and Jeff would respond right away if we had a question. Bonus treat was a killer view/picture I took of the full moon setting behind San Gregornio Peak (which were snow-capped). We love our stay so much that we are already planning to go back this fall when the park is not that crowded with spring breakers. Again, thanks to you wonderful hosts. Do check out The Ridge if you're looking for a place around JT. It is conveniently located and offers so much privacy and security.

Amazing Time at The Ridge

The Ridge is a thoughtfully curated 5-acre property situated on a bluff equidistant from the two main entrances to Joshua Tree National Park. My son and I spent 8 days here. Communication with the hosts was prompt, clear, and helpful. We arrived at night and the lights were on and the hosts provided detailed information about how to get to the property. The property is private yet not remote. There are houses you can see in the distance, but it feels like your own private desert oasis. The property is down an easy sand road about ¼ of a mile from a main thorough fare. It is a wonderful blend of being away from things but having easy access to the park, grocery, restaurants, bars, etc. The house has as much charm as the photos and description! There are two living areas – one that boasts a wonderful fireplace and two couches and another that has a couch, TV (although we didn’t even turn it on), organ, guitar, mandolin, accordion, and record player with a solid library of some great albums including Abbey Road (and some of George Carlin’s early work). The bedrooms are situated on opposite sides of the house, so if you are traveling with another couple or with kids – this affords everyone some privacy. Windows and natural light abound delivering fantastic views of the surrounding desert landscape from every room. The curated path across the property is an added bonus with astounding views across the landscape. Picnic table, fire pit, grill, and great desert views. Thank you!.

A quiet peaceful desert sanctuary. Close proximity to Joshua Tree NP and 1 1/2 hour drive to Big Bear Lake. Phenomenal sky views from the bench on the ridge summit.
