Ms. Opal's Cottage - POOL! Pet-Friendly! Ground Level
Ms. Opal's Cottage is an adorable two bedroom, two full bath vintage Tybee bead board cottage. It is located on the south end of the island near the back river and only a couple of blocks walk to the beach, pier, restaurants, and shops. Both bedrooms have a queen bed and each bedroom has a flat screen TV. One bathroom has a clawfoot tub/shower combo; 2nd bathroom has a walk-in shower (no tub). Kitchen has been beautifully updated with stainless steel appliances. The backyard features beautiful landscaping and an 11' X 23' backyard seasonal heated salt water pool, outdoor lounging furniture and pool house; what a treat for Ms. Opal's guests; your very own private pool! Additionally, the pool house is stocked with games, books and puzzles. There is also a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The front porch, a classic Tybee screened porch, features Adirondack chairs, rocking chairs and an outdoor dining area. This cottage is perfect for a couples getaway; a girlfriends' beach weekend, a a perfect summer vacation! Wonderful Family Spot
We loved our stay! We have stayed in this amazing house three times now, this year under a new owner and it was better than ever. Walk anywhere on the south end, pool is amazing, pool house so fun!

Loved this historic cottage. The layout of the house was a bit strange, but the pics depict that. The pool was perfect and loved the pool house TV for GA football viewing from the pool. The location is a short walk to the 17th Street beach entrance.

Miss Opals was cozy! I would only make a suggestion for an air conditioner window unit in the pool house. And possibly cut back soE of the foliage in the back yard. I would highly recommend this place. We had a great time. If you do stay here in fall months ask them to have the heater on before you get there. Seemed like it took two days to get the water warm.

Ms. Opal's Cottage was welcoming and a wonderful place for my family to vacation for the 1st time in Tybee. We loved the pool, the screened in big porch and the cottage itself. It was beautifully decorated and had all amenities needed. All the mermaid host were so kind and helped with any questions we had about the area and made sure we enjoyed our stay! Fabulous! Beautiful little bungalow!
Property was exactly as described. Had everything you might need. Close to beach and restaurants and shops. Pool was very nice the day we were able to enjoy it (weather didn't cooperate the week we stayed). Would highly recommend.

This home was perfect for my family’s spring break getaway. Even when the weather was chilly the heated pool was still perfect to swim in. It was my wife’s birthday and Tammy was amazing and very much so tentative with whatever we needed. I would love to stay in this same home on our next vacation to Tybee Island.

Fantastic trip!! Just what was needed. This house is so cute and comfortable. The pool was a major plus! We spent most of our time floating in the pool and chatting and relaxing. Ms. Opals provided us with an oasis from everyday stress and just let us hang out! It definitely put us in vacation mode as soon as we got there. Plus - we know that Mermaid Cottages are going to be stocked with all the essentials we will need - that helps get the vacation underway quickly. Thanks again Mermaids for a terrific trip to Tybee!
