Happy canadian
The staff were wonderful
The pool was wonderful temperature and clean and the view was fabulous
Bucu Beji Ubud was misrepresented as Bucu View Bungalow from the hotel search service, then linked to our booking site. Bucu Beji Ubud is definitely not the same as Bucu View Bungalow. In fact, Bucu View Bungalow is a fictitious combination of Bucu Beji Ubud and Bucu View Resort (which is next to it.)
I would not say Bucu Beji Ubud is a 3-star hotel. It had little to offer, except a quiet location next to the forest. The guest room we stayed in was run down with a mold stained bathroom wall, a shower hose that would not stay in the wall mount, and a towel rail that was coming off the wall. The bath towels were old and stained, the bedsheets had holes, and the living/sleep area had electric switch-plates with exposed wiring, and ants on and around the bed.
The staff were pleasant, and as helpful as they could be. They tidied the room daily, and gave us fresh towels.

Bucu Beji is okay
Overall, it was okay. The room itself is actually very big, however it just seemed a little empty. The bed was big and comfortable, however other than that, the only other things in the room were a bench, a dodgy fridge and TV and two bedside tables, the room just felt a little bit bare. The bathroom was very dark and even with the lights on it was too. The view from outside was nice, and the breakfast was quite good. However, I have stayed in much nicer places in Bali for the same price or cheaper.
Quiet boutique hotel. Individual villas with balcony over looking jungle and river. Friendly staff. Beautiful gardens.15minute walk to main road. Yummy breakfast. Bananna pancake, coffee and fruit. Only negative is that the matress on bed was very hard. No matress protector. Pillows were very old. No pillow protector. Excellent wifi. Bathroom shower needed a good scrub/clean. Natural spring on the premises you can dip into. Very refreshing. Otherwise, excellent value for money. Would stay again.

Nice hotel, but starting to show its age
Very nice older hotel in a quiet part of Ubud. Excellent pool and the staff is very friendly and hardworking. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute little bungalows!
Bucu Beji is on one of the lanes off of Jalan Bisma. There is no sign in Jalan Bisma so look out for the Bucu View sign and follow that! To be honest, Bucu View hotel carries this little place - its their restaurant and pool which you use. The bungalows are cute though and have a real homely feel about them. And they bring your breakfast down to you to eat on your patio!

We got put in a room that had ants all over the walls and floor, the bathroom had green mould all over the walls and bath. And then we turned on the air con and a big lizard flew out at us. When our driver dropped us off the hotel staff said to him in Balinese "no one likes to stay in these rooms".. We got put in a new room and when we got into the room there was a big poo on the bed! I asked him where the poo came from and he said he didn't know but admitted they can't keep the rooms tidy because the rooms are old and outdated. My partner has asthma and we needed a clean room which they obviously could not offer us. We checked out straight away and stayed next door at the Bucu View, it was amazing there. The Bucu Beji is the worse place I have ever seen in my life. Bucu Beji don't even have their own wifi, they use Bucu views wifi, and because Bucu View is quite far away, the wifi doesn't even reach your room. The pool in the photos also belongs to Bucu View but visitors of Bucu Beji are allowed to use it.
