“A great little place. I’d enjoyed a stay here one time before—on a Monday night. This time it was a Wednesday so The Laurel was open! I checked in at 7:45 so only 15 minutes before closing. I walked down the stairs, they gave me a table, I had a fantastic cocktail and very very tasty steak bites with nice accompaniment. “We have stayed at this property many times when it was a Super 8. I enjoyed the refreshed look of this hotel as a SureStay by Best Western property. Glad we had a main floor unit as the elevator was unavailable. Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic. Our room with a king bed did not have nightstands on each side of the bed, which was a problem for me as I use a CPAP machine and the only place to put it was on the cooler we luckily brought with us. “We were looking for a location close to Walla Walla and state parks (Palouse Falls).
Dayton is a nice little city and Hardware Hotel is a great place to stay.
Hotel was recently renovated with style. Rooms are large with high ceilings, well-equipped (good bedding and bathroom) and we loved the atmosphere.
We received room# and access code in advance. No staff onsite but you still reach out if needed (phone or bar next to the lobby during hours)”
