“Pictures online undersell this little cottage. The layout is family friendly and also completely suitable for a couple or even individual stay. The owner was very responsive and the property showed pride in ownership. Plenty of towels and bedding were provided. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and such. “We stayed at Marty's wonderful property on Lake Champlain for a few days during our 25-year Middlebury College reunion. It was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. The house is very comfortable and it's easy to feel at home here. Most mornings we headed outside to swim from our own dock, greeting the morning along with the birds and squirrels. The decks have gorgeous views, and are furnished to make it comfortable to spend hours there: chairs, tables, a large awning, etc. We didn't use the kayaks, but it was……

“House is immaculate, like new! Back deck is great for morning coffee and a place to read without the bugs. Everything you need in kitchen is there, no need to bring anything. Beds are plenty comfortable. My only negative is that it would be helpful if there were electrical outlets by the beds. Because of outlet placement, we slept in separate rooms. Some odd rules like taking your own garbage to the dump and stripping the beds and putting sheets in washer.”

“This cabin is very cute and was very clean. Almost everything we needed was provided at the home and we appreciated so much wood for the firepit, which we used constantly due to how cold it was. Had to pick up charcoal, but it was an easy 15 minute drive to town for this. Sadly, the staircase to the lake is not described well enough. It seemed to be one long stair case down, when actually, its 3 very long staircases and crossing a small street. Its not an easy or short distance. The area is……

“Lovely home that has everything you need , located on a very secluded street . you can feel that this home is loved : has lots of great books and beautiful paintings ( home is owned by the artist ) Very cozy with a lot of character and overlooking Lake Champlain . Beautiful terrace . Local stores sell very good produce from nearby farms its organic and very tasty . great hiking at the Green Mountains for people who like forest ; trails are empty ( but about an hour away by car) Or you can walk……

“We only needed it for a short stay. In the winter. It was a short ride to lake placid. It was clean, heat worked, had hot water, enough rooms and beds to sleep in. Had all the basics to get by. Just no toaster. Would stay again. The only thing I can say didnt work well. Was the wifi. But it was nice to disconnect. Just Hard to reach our loved ones in the evenings and find local places to get things.”
