A secluded family home at the top of a long driveway. Wooded property in the Cherokee National Forest, Watauga Ranger District, with mountain views, front, and back. Large fenced-in backyard with fire ring, and back porch and patio with grill and accessories. Excellent front porch! Upstairs: open-living space with two bedrooms, a fully-stocked kitchen, and two full bathrooms. There is space for the entire family to relax, play games, watch movies. One large bedroom downstairs with a queen bed, futon, full bath, 40 inch T.v. The upstairs garage has exercise equipment, children's toys, outdoor games, etc. Closet space in second upstairs b/r is large and could accommodate a toddler or baby bed. This place is cozy feeling, but plenty of space for everyone to be doing different activities. It’s in a great location, in wooded area with deer and other wildlife. But it’s not too far for going out and enjoying Johnson City! Julie was easy to communicate with, quick response's. We really enjoyed this place and would be back again!

A pleasant stay

Overall it was a nice stay. We had fun watching the deer and exploring the area. The only disappointment was that there was no playset in the yard. Our daughter and grandchildren came up for one night and that would have been appreciated it.

Special family weekend

The house was more beautiful than the pictures. Clean, spacious, comfy beds, hot showers and an amazing kitchen! So much space to spread out and find a comfy space to read or unwind. We arrived a day ahead of Hurricane Helene and survived this horrific storm in this well built home. Coming from Nee England, we had never experienced a storm of this fierce magnitude but we see thankful that we were in such a safe house. This property is a hidden gem and we truly enjoyed everything about it. Excellent communication and care from the host. Thank you for sharing your home…we will be back to explore the National Parks and will stay with you again.

My best friend and I take a joint-family trip every year. We had kids, pets and grandma staying with us this year and this cabin accommodated all of our needs. It was easy to navigate to town when needed, provided plenty of privacy between each other within the cabin and there was lots of nature to be enjoyed. We enjoyed walks in the neighborhood, deer in the yard every morning, and a beautiful view of the night sky during a meteor shower. If we make our way up to Unicoi again, we hope we are able to snag this place again before it gets booked.

Johnson City Visit

Amazing property that words don’t describe. Close to anything you want in the area but feel like you are in your own private mountain when at the lodge. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area and will 100% stay again when we return.

Stunningly spectacular

We were three couples coming to the Johnson City area to fish. This house was absolutely perfect. Plenty of room for vehicles and boats. Located only 12 minutes from downtown Johnson City. Peaceful setting with a view. The house itself was huge with more than enough storage. We could actually settle in with everything put away so that we really did feel right at home. They had everything we needed including plenty of wine glasses! The host was responsive and we will stay here the next time we are in the area.

Family stay for funeral

We had a sudden and unexpected loss in the family and we needed a place to have family come into town and stay. We wanted a place where we could come together as a family to reflect on the loss of our brother. This cool house on the top of a quiet mountain did the trick. We hung out for the week while we worked out the arrangements for our brothers funeral. The location was peaceful and quiet which provided ample time to hang out around a campfire. Ms. Julie was very sweet and made sure that we had everything we needed. There was a very nice golf course just down the road that provided a place to go hang out with my youngest brother. The house was super cozy and the sunroom was a very relaxing place to sit and talk while the kids played games at the kitchen table. The whole experience helped take some of the sting out of the loss in our family and we are grateful for the opportunity to stay here. Thanks Craig Miller

Relaxing Retreat

Enjoyed our stay! Woodstove made it cozy on the chilly mornings. Nice neighborhood, very peaceful. Feels remote but is close to JC shopping, restaurants and hiking trails. Didn't need to contact host for anything although they let us know they were there if needed. Would recommend!

The home is beautiful and spacious, the view is stunning! We loved watching the deer come up in the driveway to eat acorns and watching the chipmunks play. Very nice neighborhood, quiet and great for morning walks. We enjoyed our stay so much, thanks!
