Very lovely unit with a huge screened in porch/patio. Rained the whole weekend unfortunately but was nice to get some outdoor air via the screened in porch. kitchen/dining/family is one open room which was nice to not only hang out but the 2 babies were in full view the whole time we were there. Unit is clean, cozy and owners were very responsive.

This is now officially my favorite place to stay in Union Pier/New Buffalo and would highly recommend! I split up the week - half with family and half with friend. It was really clean, and has an incredibly cozy and welcoming vibe. We spent most of our time on the great screened in porch, which was so peaceful. And, loved having the pool and beach so close. The owner was very nice and responsive. Just a few suggestions - make sure to confirm the parking spot numbers and location before you go (it's a little tricky to find); if staying a week would recommend bringing some additional toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags; and note that the TV in the Master bedroom does not work (it didn't matter to me, as we barely turned on the tv :)). Thank you Time Out!! Hope to return again.

The condo has a great layout but needs an allover refresh. Paint is chipped and marked up, furniture is scratched and ripped, upper deck and screen porch need a power wash. Disappointing for the price we paid.

Our stay was second week of June, nice and quiet, very relaxing. The beach was clean and not crowded at all and the sunsets were beautiful. The condo was clean, had everything we needed, very comfortable. Definitely would recommend this place.

Cleanliness:
There was an infestation of carpenter ants. They were all over the floors and kitchen counters. Lots of them. It was absolutely disgusting. Thankfully we only found a few upstairs in the bedrooms.
Some ice from the ice maker got stuck in the dispenser opening, so I stuck my hand up to get it out. My hand came out covered in black mold which looked like coffee grounds. This was also absolutely disgusting as we'd been using it up until that discovery.
Communication:
I emailed in advance to ask about two things: how linens were washed and the size of the coffee maker.
One member of our group would have brought her own linens if linens were washed in fragrance. I was told they were washed in high heat with Purex. Towels and washrags *were* washed in fabric softener or a highly fragrant detergent. Sheets were fine.
We needed to bring coffee filters as the listing said they weren't provided. I was told it was a keurig machine. Since none of us had k-cups we brought a 4-cup coffee maker with us. Upon arrival, there was a regular 12-cup coffee maker on the counter, no keurig machine.
There were two different sets of checkout procedures: one in a plastic picture frame and another in the binder. Instructions were different, causing confusion.
While the Bluefish Vacations group that manages this property was quick to respond via email, they weren't very accurate with their information.
Convenience:
We loved that the rental was a block from little shops and in the heart of everything that we wanted to do dinner / winery-wise.
Required at checkout was to take the trash to the dumpster on the complex property. Since this was a large set of properties, it was a trek / not convenient to get to. A map on how to access would have helped. With the large cleaning fee included in the price, I'd recommend a trash container on site (on the covered porch?) that the cleaning crew would take out when they come in to clean.
Look and Feel:
The place was very pretty and decorated nicely. Three bedrooms and bathrooms were great to have!
We were unhappy that none of the bathroom windows included a covering or a frosting of any kind.
Overall:
We wouldn't choose to stay here again. The ants, mold, & bathroom windows were enough to turn all of our stomachs. While those are all things that can be corrected, the accuracy of the communication we received doesn't instill much trust in those things being resolved properly.

First time staying in Union Pier after dozens of trips to Harbor Country. Great location and property! There were 5 in our party and the size of the home was perfect. Super cute decor inside. Would definitely stay again...but in the summer next time.

Property was beautiful. Surrounded by foliage. Seemed very secluded. The one downside was the walk to the lake. I would have preferred to be on the lake, but it tells you in the description that there is a short walk.
