“This property is exactly what the pictures show. Peaceful, serene, and exceptionally welcoming. We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The caretaker is a gem, she took care of all the little things that make a stay truly memorable. We needed a cot and blow up mattress for 2 small children, she prepped them and added extras around the home for them to explore as well. The AC and fans in every room kept us very comfortable even in mid summer, and the pool is a perfect relief……

“An oasis in the rainforest. Enjoyed long warm soak in most glorious outdoor bathtub, after refreshing cool dip in natural waterhole at creek. Lovely, quaint cottage with architectural flair, and well appointed, while being sustainable. Just gorgeous and central to all tourist attractions in Daintree.”

“We absolutely loved the location of this place. We have stayed in Port Douglas before but this was our favourite spot by far! It was comfortable, gorgeous views and appreciated that the pool was heated. Anthony (who was staying upstairs) was super helpful and respectful of our space. It was very quiet. We would definitely stay again! The only thing to make sure you are aware of if travelling with young kids is that the master bedroom is very separate from the other bedroom. I realise the floor……

“Excellent property- glad we booked for when we did. Last couple of days was when school holidays started and complex started to fill with families that tended to take over the pool. Pub on Main Street was quite noisy - these are observations and due to timing of our stay didn’t really affect us.”

We all loved the relaxed, calm vibe of the house and the location—exactly what we had hoped for.Newell is a perfect base for SO many adventures nearby. We got to see and do so much every day, and still had time to relax on the gorgeous back porch and in the lovely pool. The property itself feels very private, but has a nice……

“Amazing place! Has everything you need except cellular service - but let’s be honest you don’t need that either. Host was great and had suggestions on things to see nearby. The on property swimming hole was so nice for a hot summer day. Visit the insect museum nearby if it is open. ”
