“The unit was just as listed and worked out well for us on our ski trip. The unit is in what use to be a resort & conference center that is no longer operating. All the common spaces could use some TLC. The unit itself had everything we needed and the pull out couch was even comfortable. We did struggle with the lock box and the loft was quite warm. We couldn’t figure out how to control the heat so we ended up using both fans to make it more comfortable. Towels need to be replaced they were quite……

“Well maintained condo in an old ski resort. Very clean and well supplied kitchen and bathroom. Host provided clear check in instructions and also checked in to make sure our stay was going well, which was nice! The towns in the area had plenty of places to eat and there was a Walmart a quick drive down the road. Plenty of waterfalls in the area to check out as well.”

“We were disappointed. The owner wasn't very accommodating or kind. Wouldnt provide washcloths, handtowels, etc. The place needed a good cleaning and basic supplies. Wouldn't return or recommend.”

“This place was great for a family of 4! Plenty of space! The kitchen stocked everything we needed and then some. Very short drive to skiing. Joey the host was super responsive with any questions I had. There was a nice stocked keurig machine with plenty of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The only downfall we had was the beds were super stiff. We would for sure stay here again!”

“We had a very good time staying at your place on Blackjack Hill. The hot tub and sauna were very nice. The sauna is a real Michigan so I know where you can put water on. A definite plus. The firewood was nice and dry and easy to burn in the fireplace. I thought it was a nice option to have an outdoor fire pit as well. The furniture was a little hard to be comfortable on. “The kitchen floor was dirty. When I wiped up spilled water, the paper towel was black. Refrigerator was leaking water inside the refrig. and collecting in the vegetable drawer. This is the second year in a row that we stayed at Alpen Inn. The units were much improved from the prior year. Thank you.”

“We were happy with the amenities of the home and especially the end unit location. So easy to snowboard right out the back door to the lift! This spot also provides more parking spots than the other units on the side of the building. The townhome was entirely more than enough room for 4 adults and our dogs. Love having 3 full bathrooms! The best part was that we were able to extend our stay easily by texting the owner and got a quick response! We were able to enjoy an entire extra day on the……

“Our dogs loved the yard and home comfort of the cabin. Very close to quite a few waterfalls, the harbor and the Copper Peak ski jump. Awesome to bike from to all those spots or hike. Highly recommend if you have dogs. Sad we didn't get to try the pub next door, but we will next time!”
