We just got home from a great Vail ski vacation.
First the pros. This condo was clean and well maintained. The photos provide an accurate representation.
The kitchen was well-equipped with more supplies than most vacation homes.
The family room / dining room was large enough for the 6 of us to eat comfortably, watch TV, and play board games at night (we used our own but many were also available on-site).
The bathrooms were clean and nicely finished. Some other nice features which we didn't use were a wood-burning fireplace as well as a multi-device charging station.
We had two disappointments. First, the listing advertises the unit as "just steps away" from the bus stop. This is a bit deceiving, as it is actually .2 miles away (per Google maps). For some that might not be far, but I felt it necessary to clarify this. Making the walk each day, in ski boots carrying our gear, on a road that for us at least was icy (especially the hill leading out of the complex), just wasn't what we were expecting.
Second, most vacation homes these days have a "welcome kit", with guidance on the area. This unit did not. We had no idea how the transportation system worked, where the bus stop was, where the hot tub was, where to take the trash, etc. Some simple info here is needed.
FYI - to get to Vail, use either the Pitkin Creek or Lupine stops, and take the East Vail bus to the Vail Transportation center (~15 minute ride).
With better info we could have given 5 stars.
