The Lion Residences E503

This exquisite, exceptionally spacious (sleeps 14) mountain-contemporary residence offers a great room with a gas fireplace and smart TV, a superior kitchen finished with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, plus a dining table for eight. Additional features include four guest suites, each with a luxuriant, attached bathroom and smart TV (the first has a king size bed, gas fireplace and desk/work space, the second and third have a king size bed, the fourth is a custom bunk room with two sets of queen-over-queen beds), vaulted ceilings and designer lighting throughout, a washer/dryer and air conditioning. This residence is 2,611 sq/ft.

Guests will enjoy breathtaking south-facing views to the ski slopes from the furnished terrace, as well as The Lion’s extraordinary amenities including an infinite current lap pool, indoor and outdoor saline hot tubs, fitness facility, family game room, kid’s play room, ski valet and lockers, ‘The Toboggan’ on-demand shuttle, business center, customized concierge service and more. This is a very nice place with an excellent location and wonderful view of the mountains, but does have some mid to minor areas of concern. The biggest issue was finding out a month after I made reservations that parking would cost 50 per day per vehicle. The management claimed that it was a part of the VRBO information but I didn’t see it. In addition, we did have some issues with the basic location regarding their outdoor patio. It is situated such that the traffic noise from I-70 was a little annoying. In addition, the indoor hot tub did not work while we were there but the outdoor hot tub was great. We also had problems with one of the beds being too soft, and some of the automatic curtains did not work very well. It could’ve been stocked with general commodities a little better such as salt and pepper , sweetener, tea. We also were given a very late check in time of 5 PM. We tried to get the management to give us a 3PM or 4 PM check-in, but they did not respond well to that request. We also asked later for an update on the check-in day to possibly be able to arrive earlier and initially they did not respond well to that but eventually did try to help us. Also, they use pillows to which some of us were allergic (down feathers). It took several days to discover that was the problem, but then the management took care of it right away. Generally speaking, the management did very well trying to help us with several other things.
