“I went there to propose to my now fiancé, the plan was for friends and family to arrive first and by the time I proposed on the mountain our friends to be waiting to surprise her. The staff was super accommodating with an early check in and the place was great, very large and ski on ski off from western territories. Highly recommend if you're there with a large group.”

The only inconvenience was the host would show up without any notice. Coming to check to see if we needed the trash taken or needed anything else is nice and fine but would have liked a notice that they were coming by.”

“This is a very well maintained property in a perfect location. Only a few minutes walking distance to the slopes & the village, and sporting great views over the mountain ranges to the west. Everything is clean and functional, and the owners are quick to respond to any requests. They even left a nice stack of firewood in the garage, and a basket with goodies (including home-roasted coffee beans) for us to enjoy. “Spent the long weekend skiing with a friend, my daughter, and her friends. The house was amazing. The bathrooms are brand new and the rooms were perfect. I liked the master on the first floor. The hot tub was a bonus but the lid had a poor design. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances. We were disappointed the fireplace did not work. The shuttle to the ski mountains was superb and an absolute bonus. We would definitely stay again.”

“Lovely house! We had a ton of snow and it was difficult to get to the property. Luckily we had 4W drive, which is a must. The only thing lacking was coffee mugs. There were 5 which is inadequate for a house that sleeps 20, but otherwise it was well equipped and comfortable.”

“Great place for larger groups. Had great space for our group - including seating and fridge space. First time staying outside the core of the village. Only maybe a 7-10 minute walk to the village, just keep in mind the elevation change. Be sure to use the shuttle if you struggle with stairs.”

“Black Bear Lodge was a great location for a reunion of friends and family that have been skiing together for nearly forty years. We love Snowshoe and the lodge was exceptionally convenient to Cupp Run. We had 14 adults and two children and we were all comfortable. Our host was great with communication and provided everything in the lodge needed for enjoyment. “We absolutely loved our stay at the Dome Home! The house is stunning and so spacious. Harman was extremely informative and communicative. The town was a quick 2 minute drive or you could walk if you want. I 10/10 recommend this property for anyone considering. One of the best Vrbo rentals I’ve ever had!”

“Me and a group of friends rented this place out for spring break and it was amazing. The house was super clean upon arrival and included many amenities. The house is also located about a 2 minute walk to the ski slope which was a huge plus. Also you can’t beat the view of the sunset on the front porch. The owner Phil is super friendly and easy to get in contact with if needed. Me and my friends will definitely be planning a trip back up here soon.”

“The property was absolutely beautiful. There was a bit of error on my part not planning on no reception so I didn’t write down the passcode but that was completely on me. The homeowners were so understanding and wonderful during all this which I am so appreciative for. The suite was clean, stocked with snacks, tea, and hot chocolate which was so sweet. Overall, after being on the slopes all day my partner and I had an amazing relaxing stay.”
