A very relaxing place. Staff very helpful. The road that leads to this this location is in very bad shape and very difficult to drive unless you have a four wheel drive veheicle.

Idéal pour un safari
Nous avons réservé 5 chambres pour 10 Adultes et 3 enfants. Sur site ils nous ont proposé 3 chambres parce que nous étions en réalité 7 Adultes et 6 enfants. Au moment du départ ils nous ont réclamé 75€ de plus parce que nous avions 3 enfants de plus ( que nous avions déclaré en adultes lors de la réservation) après 1/2 heure de palabres ils nous ont laissé partir sans supplément. Malgré nous retenons un excellent souvenir de cet endroit.

Great place to stay, terrible head office
This is a 2 part review, as our stay was great but our experience with the head office in Colombo was terrible. The Camp is a great place if you really want to get away from everything. There is no cell service or wifi in most of the camp, just one corner where phones will work. And it’s quiet and beautiful. We hoped to go into the National Park but due to flooding we could not. However, we still enjoyed our stay in the jungle. Nipanu and staff were very friendly, the food was amazing, rooms very comfortable. If we could avoid dealing with the head office, we would stay again. Do note that you need high clearance to get to the camp, but they will pick you up and have a place to park your car if you need a lift from close by. Unfortunately our experience with the head office was terrible and our dispute is not over. We prepaid for 4 triple chalets. When I called the day before check in to make sure all was set, I was told they only had 2 chalets and 4 tent beds. I’m not sure what would have happened if I had not called ahead, since they made no attempt to call me, but I agreed to take these lesser rooms and they agreed to provide jeep rides to make up the difference. When the jeeps were not possible due to rain, they agreed to refund the amount to my bank account. It is now 4 weeks later and I have not received the money and they have now told hotels.com that they will not refund my money. I am disputing this with my credit card company.

Great place with friendly staff
Booked last minute off season so were not expecting us and we were the only guests. But a warm welcome from the manager who was fantastic and made up for this. As there was no staff on site to cook, he took us for food at a local restaurant which was a good experience. Breakfast at the camp the next day was excellent. Rooms nicely decorated, good hot water and air conditioning
