"We travel as a family with two dogs. We have stayed at this embassy three times and love it. We have never had an issue. It is clean, has a wonderful breakfast, and is in walking distance of downtown attractions."

"The receptionist was really good but it was under par for a hotel. I have stayed in many Sheritons in the US. We were excited by the 'Chop house' on a friday night after a 3hr trip to be told they could only serve chicken tenders but the bar was open. We went out to eat and came back early around 9.30pm to have a final drink, the bar was shut. The receptionist was amazing and got us a drink but after I checked out which is yet to be resolved, I now have a room service charge for the drinks on my bill and no refund for my incidentals."

"Our suite was clean for most part. The back bathroom shower needs the grout steamed cleaned. The carpart has cigarette burns and looks dirty we wore our shoes The icemaker and water in ref was not working in the freezer the ice maker was in parts and on two shelves. The beds and linens were clean but the beds were very hard/firm. The light over the toilet area in backbathroom did not work. The area to the Biltmore was fast and easy. Many food choices near by. It served our short trip. The pool was also not open."

"This is one of the few low-cost options in downtown Asheville, walking distance to the bars and restaurants. If you’re just looking for a place to park your carcass for a night as we were, it’s fine. Just don’t expect anything other than a relatively clean room and walkable access to a lot of fun stuff."

"The Flat Iron Hotel is located in a historic building that has been lovingly restored and updated while preserving its history. The bed and bathroom are great with a very comfortable bed and shower with lots of water pressure. The only thing missing is a place to sit. There is only one chair and no table or desk. The rooftop bar has wonderful drinks as well as views. I am glad we came and would recommend it to like minded travelers."

"The hotel was generally well-maintained, bright, and clean on the outside, which gave a good first impression. Our room was comfortable overall, though we did notice a few hair strands on the shower room wall after checking in. The biggest downside was the gym — there was no AC, only a fan that didn’t help much. It also needs shades, as the space gets extremely hot and sunny during the day, making workouts uncomfortable. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff, who were very kind, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our visit."

"Great location. Walked to our concert at Harrahs Cherokee Arena. Lots of bars, restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance too. Didn’t realize there was only valet parking-$30/night. Coffee maker in our room didn’t work and no free coffee or breakfast provided by hotel. Otherwise the room was clean and nice. Comfy bed. And staff was extremely nice!!"
