“My family and I had a wonderful stay at Chalet Escondido. We saw many different types of wildlife such as the Coati, Walking Stick Bug, Bats, Giant Red-Winged Grasshopper and the Howler monkeys. We could hear and see the monkey daily during our stay. During our time here we did many day trips to various beaches. Our favorite was Playa Negra, not too busy and nice waves for families and renting surf boards. We also made it down to Nosara which we really liked as well. Overall a great place for……

“This place was clean, had everything we needed, felt safe and homey, and the beach access was fantastic. Rustic, gorgeous, and friendly. Would recommend to friends and will come back. ps- there are more amenities than one can infer from listing: the kitchenette is in the unit and there's a big fridge in the unit with ice trays. “We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. There is a restaurant on the property which would have been a complete game changer but it wasn't open during our visit in mid-November. The times……
