Pros; Front lobby renovated very nice! Staff very friendly and helpful Breakfast was great —11 Euros Rooms quiet Quiet neighborhood Waterbus drops off directly in front Cons; Rooms are old/not renovated “Private” balcony—wall only divides 1/3 of balcony from neighbours Outlets/electrical out dated—could not have the AC on without a loud cracking noise coming from the other outlets plugged in.

This was a great location to St Mark’s Square. Farther from train station. Water taxi’s were on strike and we had a 50 min walk to train. It will cost between 60-80 euros for private water taxi from this location. The hotel staff was excellent and very helpful. The hotel itself could use some updating. Rooms were hot, air condition barely worked and leaving windows open made us nervous a pigeon would get it.

Me gustó la amabilidad del personal, las instalaciones del hotel y el desayuno incluido No me gustó que no se pudiera prender el aire acondicionado (aunque tengo entendido que es por una ley de Italia) y que debíamos tener la ventanas abiertas, por lo que entraban mosquitos a la habitación

Todo en general muy bien, salvo que la chapa de entrada a la habitación 201 no funciona bien, y el extractor de olores del baño se queda prendido luego de apagar todo y toca bajar los tacos para apagarlo. Estuvimos 4 días y los pañuelos desechables se acabaron y nunca los repusieron. El desayuno es bueno y variado y las camareras son amables.

The hotel was quaint and beautifully decorated. It was in the heart of the old area of San Marco, in easy reach of all the landmarks. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome. Our room was lovely and the maid came in every day. The only thing we were disappointed with was the room was classed as superior but the bathroom certainly wasn’t. It needed some TLC! Also, the hotel advertised a bar. It was run by reception staff who we felt we were annoying by asking for a drink, and, it was closed at 11. On one occasion, we were told to go to the hotel next door to use their bar! Bit of a let down! On the whole we would probably try a different hotel on our next trip to Venice.

The staff is so warm and welcoming. The front desk personnel were so nice. The hotel is beautiful and the decorations are eclectic and very nice. We are extremely grateful for this experience and are only sorry we stayed only a couple of days. We will surely return. You made our trip truly special. Thanks again.

Pros: -Located near San Marco’s square, convenient for seeing Doge’s palace -good breakfast -nice rooms, comes with slippers and robes - near a water taxi station -laundry machine is a nice touch -shower shampoos and soaps are good quality -several convenience stores and restaurants within a 5 minute walk -quiet at night Cons: -staff we interacted with, in general, were rude and unpleasant. However, Breakfast staff were nice. -the hotel is not consolidated into one building, our room was in a building next to the main hotel which was a bit annoying walking outside to get to the breakfast -didn’t receive the VIP perk upon arrival -master bed was two single mattresses pushed together, leaving a gap in the middle of bed (not romance friendly) verdict: the hotel is good value for Venice, despite several significant drawbacks I would recommend considering it. Many comments on google and Expedia indicate there are hot water issues, we had no such issues with the water.
