Don’t stay at this apartment as it could ruin your experience in Venice. We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights in May 2025 and had the worst experience here. 1. The washing machine was broken when we arrived. We have contacted the host through WhatsApp who promised to fix it the next day. No one ever showed up before we left. 2. The toilet seat was not cleaned as there was dirt on it as we arrived. 3. Broken shower room door. Felt like it has been broken since long ago but no one ever bothered to replace it. The bathroom floor was flooding when we showered. 4. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided for a 3-night stay (4 adults). Requested for it through WhatsApp but nobody had come on even if they promised to. 5. Super slow water drainage in the bathroom. A pond would form each time we washed our hands and it would take an hour until the water is drained. 6. The apartment was full of mosquitoes. Didn’t sleep well because they were flying around us all night long.

We stayed three nights there with my family of 4. As soon as we checked in, we noticed there were some issues with the apartment but the staff was responsive and did send maintenance people over the next day. Nothing was resolved but the staff tried again and sent the maintenance guys back. Not everything was resolved but at least they installed a new washing machine for us so that we could do some laundry the last night. Please read the most recent reviews of other guests before you book the place. I have to say the location is great and it would have been better if the apartment was more nicely maintained.

Not very comfortable for a family.

This was the final stop on our family's Italy vacation and definitely the least enjoyable of our rentals. The building itself is not well maintained - the front door handle continually fell off when we tried to exit the building, there were a lot of cobwebs and bugs inside the main entrance, the staircase was dingy with very old, dirty carpet and the key lockbox didn't work. The unit itself was not very comfortable. The sofa bed in the kitchen didn't pull out (and was very dirty inside when we tried to wrestle it open) and the main bedroom mattress was very thin, lumpy and unsupportive. There was not as much decor in this apartment as the others that are pictured here from the same building, and the space felt very plain and uninviting. We also got bitten by mosquitos while inside the unit. We did have a good working a/c, as well as hot water for the shower. And we were able to use the kitchen to make breakfast in the morning. Would not recommend this apartment.

No big complaints.

Great location to stay at. Quiet at night. But close to things. The washing machine was great and the drying lines outside. We got some clothes pins because there weren’t any there. The shower door needs to be replaced (it’s kinda nonexistent) But overall we were very happy with the stay for the money. 2 bedrooms. Room for 5 to sleep if needed. Kitchen with utensils and such. And a refrigerator with freezer. And a supermarket less then a mile away (and a great fruit stand right outside the alley) Again. Overall. Great stay. Place needs a little love here and there like the shower and some floor repair. But well worth it.

The apartment is in a great area - that is the main drawcard. It is fairly neat, but it needs quite a bit of work. You get what you pay for in this area I suppose. The handrail leading up to the apartment is broken, I had to stick it back into the wall. There are a lot of steps so make sure you can carry your luggage up there. The kitchen was very adequate to cook meals in and there are two great supermarkets close by. The air conditioner in the second room was not working and wiry Italy’s record heatwave, it was quite unbearable for my daughter. They said they would send a maintenance person on the second day but no one appeared to have come. As stated earlier, the location is fantastic, so I would recommend it purely on that basis alone.

I was concerned about some of the recent reviews, as it talked about mold, and I somewhat expected it in the water closet because it is very humid in Venice, however, there was mold in every room. We were in the Ormiso apartment since we had 4 people in our party. There was also an abundance of mosquitoes in the apartment. Likely still due to the humidity, which comes with a territory so I can be understanding of that. The apartment smelled of a mildew/moldy odor, much like a wet, dank basement. The AC helped to cool off the apartment, so that was a plus. It’s also very walkable and Marco was very helpful to get into the apartment. I believe if the room were cleaned and the mold issue addressed, this would be a safe and wonderful stay for families.

So I’ve stayed in a lot of places on my travels, but I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a worse place than this. I was not good at all. Here are my comments: Positives: Good location, fast internet, large kitchen, large fridge, small laundry washer. Relatively large master bedroom, good communication with the owner via WhatsApp. Negatives: Filthy dirty, mold everywhere (including on the bedside lamps), Air Conditioning in the hallway so the rooms are really hot and they don’t cool down at all. If you open the windows, the place fills with bugs. The smallest TV I’ve ever seen, located in the kitchen. No TVs in either bedroom. Bed mattress is extremely old and creeks when you move around and the springs push through and hurt your back. Shower has mold everywhere and doesn’t drain quickly, kitchen is filthy and you wouldn’t want to cook in it. When you enter the building, you need to hold your breath because the mold smell is so intense it’s unbelievable. With a little love and attention, this could be a nice place, but they really need to put some work and effort into it.

1. Appartement wurde überhaupt nicht gereinigt, wir konnten den ersten Tag nicht nutzen. 2. Nach der Reinigung gab es immer noch Schimmel im Bad, dicke Staubschicht unter dem Bett und auf den Möbeln. 3. Der Toaster funktioniert nicht. 4. Die elektrische Sicherung löste ständig aus. 5. Besteck und Geschirr wurde nicht gereinigt. 6. Im ganzen Haus roch es nach Schimmel. 7. Wir konnten überhaupt nicht kochen und unseren Urlaub nicht genießen. 8. Die Wände waren voll von toten und lebenden Moskitos. 9. Die Vorhänge waren nicht befestigt. 10. Die Toilettenspülung und der Duschhalter fielen von der Wand. 11. Das Doppelbett war durchgelegen. 12. Der abgebildete Stehtisch mit den Hockern ist abgerissen. Was war gut? Die Wohnung ist gut gelegen. Das WLAN funktioniert. Die Kommunikition per WhatsApp funktioniert. Der Putztrupp und der Elektriker wurden kurzfristig organisiert. Am heruntergekommenen Zustan der ganzen Wohnung können sie jedoch nichts ändern.
