Beautiful charming house

I grew up in Ventura and love these old charming Poli homes. It’s adorable. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Bedrooms are spacious. Nice front patio to hang out on. I’d be cautious if staying with young children, the windows have no screens and are low to the floor as are homes of that era. There is only one bathroom (it’s nice!) but that can be hard with a 3br. Great home for the right guests! Easy walk to downtown and beach. Lots of towels.

Not a home away from home

Pros: walkable to downtown shopping, private back patio area, large bedrooms with tall ceilings, newly remodeled bathroom, big TV, original craftsman style home. Now onto the parts that were not so lovely... the floors were quite dirty and we eventually chose to wear shoes inside so that our feet didn't turn black. A fake plant covered every horizontal surface and created too much clutter. The back patio table was filthy. The freezer outside was full of rancid water (WHY?). Not a usable house in the summer months because even with lovely, moderate temps, the house would NOT cool off below 80. We ended up all piling into one room with fans going all night so that at least one room was cool enough to sleep. However, the fans provided were pretty ineffective and VERY dirty. Also, no screens on the windows so I didn't feel comfortable keeping them open all night. One small inconvenience was the lack of hooks for hanging towels, bags, etc. Didn't find a single hook in the entire house. This house at the potential to be great, but the execution completely missed the mark. Maybe in the winter months it's more enjoyable but housekeeping needs to scrub the floors!!!

We loved our stay here. We walked to Main Street and the beach multiple times from the house which was very fun. It was a very comfortable place to stay with lots of space. Gorgeous back area and lovely overall

This property exceeds expectations. Lovely house and pet friendly. We are a senior couple who travel with our little dog. The rooms were spacious with beautiful decor and yet still comfortable.

Great Option Nearby Main Street

Adorable vintage decorations add to the historical past of this house. Extremely clean and well organized. The backyard was perfect to sit around at night and the sauna was a great addition. You can walk to Main Street from here which is a nice walk.
