We planned on staying for a week and didn’t go back after the second night. The pictures on Expedia and Google are 5-9 years old. The hotel looks like a run down version of those pictures. The cafe is empty, not functioning. The beds and bedding are low quality, the bathroom is tiny and windowless. What we were thankful for is that the AC worked quite well. The staff was also very polite and helpful. You could say you get what you pay for, but I’ve stayed in places in Mexico for similar price and in better conditions.

I stayed here 3 years ago and just did again. It was a great location. Strong and stable internet, shower was perfect, and the air conditioner worked really well. It was hot and humid, so a cool room was appreciated. Bed comfortable! Staff was good, functional and present.

A great budget hotel in Veracruz old city.

The hotel is located in the old city, so it is not a modern hotel. Noise levels from cars buses and hooters could be intrusive. At the price level and for the location it is a great hotel. The staff are supportive and relaxed. The rooms are clean and in functional state. it is a safe area to move around and most amenities are within walking distance.

Perfect location 3 blocks from Malecon. Walking distance to the portales plaza area. Staff was friendly and willing to help. Any question or concerns we had were quickly addressed. There are areas to improve but take into consodation price reflects what you payed for.

The apartment was very nice in a colonial building within the city center. You can easily walk to the Malecon and iconic cafes. Unfortunately, the staff didn't speak English but was extremely friendly and helpful and we managed to communicate. Moreover, there is no free parking close to the hotel and if you come by car you have to park several blocks away and pay. Overall, the hotel was not in its best shape anymore but it is definitely worth staying in such an iconic place.

Summer Stay

This is the first time I got to stay in this hotel, I'm very familiar with the area. the place is clean. We had a junior suite the first night was fine but the rest we could clearly hear conversations from the rooms next to us. so it's not soundproof. the supervisor or the person in charge of reservations and the front desk can be at times rude and unprofessional, the other receptionist was really friendly at all times. Overall not a bad hotel y would go back again since the location is great and easy access to transportation, museums, and bookstores.

This place was excellent, exceeded my expectations. The receptionist was so kind and courteous. The hotel smelled clean, was clean and located in a fantastic spot. It is walking distance to the center and to the port. Only one drawback, does not have an elevator. This was no problem for me, but it would be for those who cannot climb stairs. It was comfortable and welcoming. Loved it. I will be back.

Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen stains on all bed covers this hotel is on main road for public transportation so very noisy windows are full of gaps and dirty so is very noisy I paid for four nights ended stay for two There was an event that weekend couldn’t get any other hotel But as soon I found availability in my favorite hotel we moved and left the pile on a hurry Didn’t even asked for reimbursement for remainder of days I want to donate that for cleaning supplies they need them bad and lots of TLC

Las chicas de la recepción son amables, pero la verdad es que el hotel deja mucho a desear. Se entiende que el concepto es colonial pero se siente descuidado. Al entrar a la habitación estaba limpia pero tenía un olor entre a humedad y a orines que era desagradable. El baño es muy pequeño y el mosaico del piso se veía entre viejo/sucio. El lavamanos es muy pequeño y no hay donde colocar los productos para bañarse. El clima está súper viejo y hace mucho ruido. Tienen caja que convierte las teles en smart TV pero como no tienen una base donde ponerlo hay que estarlo acomodando a cada rato y se desconecta. Dice que cuenta con estacionamiento pero no es cierto, tienen un convenio con un estacionamiento que está a dos cuadras del hotel y te cobran un extra de $80.00 por noche ósea que no está incluido en el precio de la habitación. Dice que tiene restaurante pero los 3 días que estuve ahí nunca lo vi en funcionamiento. Los puntos a favor es que el clima a pesar de estar viejo funciona bien. Las camas están súper cómodas y las habitaciones son amplias.
