“We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value. ”

“Yes, in the street which runs past the hotel there are shops and bar. Walk one way takes you to the Castle the other to the ports and ferry. The street is pedestrianised, but that is Italian style---so look out for cars , motor bikes etc. ”

“This is the perfect lodging for your stay in Ischia. It's a short drive from the Ischia marina, where the ferry drops you off, but the public bus (less than 3€ a ride) is right outside of the hotel to get you back to the Ischia Marina where there are countless bars and restaurants, as well as the main shopping on the island, or to Fario where you unlock another world of the island. So convenient! The hotel staff themselves are so accommodating, as well. The staff during our stay didn't speak……

“Room is very clean, bed is comfortable, shower stall is small (standard for Europe) but shower pressure is awesome. Slipper provided, our room has a nice balcony with partial view of ocean and thermal pool. Water provided in room is not free. Pool towel is not free, cost 5 euros to rent and pool cap cost 2 euros. Pool cap is required for pool use. Breakfast is has lots of choices from sweets to eggs and bacon, yogurt, salad and fruits. However, fresh squeezed OJ cost 3 euros. Location is……
