Super Helpful Staff

Absolutely shattered after a long day cycling to Vibo, really friendly efficient check in and then a super nice bartender ( rocksi I think ) who went out of her way to make me a sandwich as the kitchen was closed, then negotiated the restaurant opening 30 mins early for me so I could eat and sleep ready for tomorrows ride. Really kind and very much appreciated ! Superstar

to begin with I have to admit I liked the 501 against my better judgement at times but the location and views allows a lot to be forgiven. I can imagine the 501 in its glory days would have been spectacular. the architecture is still on place and quality never goes out of style. however the old girl does look a little tired and could benefit from a little renovation in places. the staff, mainly Italian or course and many locals, can be a little abrupt or disinterested when they are busy with other things or distracted. But... this is Italy. they don't mean anything by it but they need to know it's not what some travellers expect.

Das Hotel war sicher einmal sehr schön. Nun ist es total in die Jahre gekommen und vieles ist ungepflegt bis schmutzig, vieles ist Baustelle , Sperrmüll steht herum und die meisten Räume werden nicht mehr genutzt, da zu wenig Gäste da sind. Der eigentlich große Pool wird für Kindergeburtstage genutzt, die unwahrscheinlich laut sind und den zahlenden Hotelgast keine Möglichkeit mehr zum Schwimmen lassen. Wir werden hier definitiv nicht mehr herkommen. Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Mietauto.

Peccato per la gestione del check-in, la prossima volta sarebbe meglio prima dire che manca l'acqua e poi dare il check-in. Albergo vecchio stile, anche la colazione rimanda agli anni 80, ascensori d'epoca, insomma un 4 stelle che non si è rimodernato. Poi la mancanza d'acqua dalle 16.30 alle 20.30, una assurda situazione. Mi sono fatto la doccia con l'acqua fredda alle 21.00, visto che l'acqua calda era marrone.

Fine for one night.

It was okay....a little outdated. The bathtub was spectacular and huge with plenty of hot water. The lack of air-conditioning was a problem. The appetizers were good, the entrees of tuna and veal were overcooked.

Una bella struttura all'ingresso della città provenendo dal mare. L'hotel avrebbe grandi potenzialità e potrebbe essere meglio valorizzato. Ci sono spazi enormi e mi rendo conto che non è facile da gestire con il poco personale a disposizione. Bella la hall che ricorda una nave da crociera. Abbiamo trovato gentilezza e disponibilità da parte di tutto il personale. La nostra camera era grande e confortevole. Una bella ed attrezzata piscina ha completato il nostro piacevole soggiorno. Per l'ottimo rapporto prezzo qualità lo consiglio.

Squallore anni 70

Arrivato in albergo mi rendo conto che è tutto rimasto fermo agli anni 70. Arredi e biancheria compresa. Ma andiamo oltre , del resto le foto non lasciavano spazio alla fantasia . Mi stavo per addormentare quando l’ospite della camera confinante entra affacciandosi in camera mia attraverso la porta comune .... non avevano chiuso la porta con la chiave . Capitolo colazione: 20 minuti senza essere servito perché erano presenti solo 2 ragazze che si sforzavano di servire tutta la squadra volley Verona e l’esercito al completo . Oltre 40 persone in sala . Ma se sapete che ci sono tutti questi ospiti organizzate personale extra ! Lascio perdere la qualità del cibo del buffet .ricordo a tutti che l’hotel è 4 stelle ! Me ne sono andato disgustato a fare colazione al bar esterno . Prima di andare via recrimino l’accaduto al ricevimento. Mi risponde con un “mi dispiace “ consapevolezza dico ....
