"It was a long day of traveling and I was initially bummed that there wasn't a window in the apartment and I couldn't find the hairdryer and there wasn't shampoo.... LOL , it felt tragic, AND after a few deep breaths, I regained my composure and really enjoyed this apartment. The cave-like bedroom is actually a lot like mine, which is great for sleep. "We were lucky enough to get a suite with a view of the harbor. The suite had a separate living room, so my sister and I each got our own space and separate air conditioning units. The suite was quite roomy with a lot of space. Hotel was fairly well located. We had an excellent view of Valletta and the entrance to the harbor. There were restaurants and shops close by and we were only a 10 min walk to the Ferry. This hotel was great and I would stay there again."

"This is a well appointed amazing hotel. I had no idea how large it was. It’s very efficiently run. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very clean The children’s pool with slides is perfect - we had my 2 year old granddaughter with us. Ricardos and Luzzo restaurants are particularly good. In both restaurants there are large well equipped children’s areas. We also liked the adults area especially the sky bar in the evenings and had a wonderful meal at Minoa restaurant on 11th floor with fab views over the bay. The outside area is safe and pleasant unlike many popular areas in Malta which are just shocking. AX hotel is expertly run and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this hotel"

"The hotel is situated overlooking the lovely Balluta Bay, which is the quiet and less crowded area of St Julians. The hotel is magnificent and worthy of its 5-star status, which superb pools, from rooftop to very large main pool with plenty of space, the inside pool and spa was very relaxing. All staff were excellent, of particular note was Sanju who provided exceptionally friendly, kind, and attentive service, throughout our stay, nothing was to much trouble and her knowledge of the island, where to go and how to get there was exemplary. Breakfast was fabulous with the egg station at the centre, often managed by Renno who gave a master class for multitasking. A relaxing holiday."
