We had a 5 night stay. The building is interesting, rare, and historic by Canadian standards. It is staffed as a Bed and Breakfast. You see staff at check in and at breakfast only. They are professional and accommodating. The breakfast dish we would recommend is the Eggs Benedict. We appreciated, and used the cozy common room with it's fireplace, blankets and coffee, tea, cookies. We also met several others guests, mostly European who delighted in the building. However, you do notice inside and out there is maintenance required like locks, shower doors, landscaping, outdoor garbage removal.

Cool place for its history but very old with few usual amenities like wall plugs. Good location, close to Sidney. Very good breakfast choices (not a buffet). Comfortable bed. FYI, the Library Suite opens right onto the breakfast room. Would not recommend for more than one night. We celebrated an anniversary with dinner at l'atier.

The location was nice with easy access to Sidney and local restaurants. The property was clean and well appointed. We loved the lounge area and outside patio. The breakfasts were good, the spinach Benedict was excellent. Staff was very helpful although their hours were limited. Parking was offsite but only a quick one- minute walk through a garden to the site. We enjoyed the Library Suite which was large and had its own sitting area. Only negative comment is that the exterior could use some maintenance and landscaping.
