“We loved our stay at the Jaybird Treehouse! It was well maintained, clean, and super cute. The shower was amazing, the beds were super comfortable, and our teenager and their friend loved the trap door and "bunker" under the rest of the treehouse. The ice cream maker was such a nice touch! A couple things that I feel I should note... 1) the walk down to the lake is fairly steep, and is a boardwalk rather than stairs. For us it was ok, but if we had my elderly mother with us, she would not have……

“Wonderful property! Don't hesitate to book! No detail is left unnoticed and there are lots of inside & outside spaces for everyone. The hosts are available if you need anything but do not interfere. One review mentioned that the house wasn't secluded enough so I'd like to note-there are neighbors but the houses are all offset to allow for privacy (plus tons of trees!). There is a great bar/restaurant a few minutes away that has Awesome food (The Cross-Eyed Bear)! We did not utilize the lake……

“The property is exactly as described, and its location is perfect to explore all that the area has to offer. We hiked the Giant City State Park, Ferne Clyffe State Park, and Tunnel Hill State Trail. The trails were very easy for our three kiddos, and there was so much climbing on the bluffs for them (and us) to take part in. The Trail of Tears Memorial at the Tunnel Hill Trailhead in Vienna, IL is a must see. We made a quick stop at the Boo Rothman Memorial Park, which was a lot of fun for the……

“My family and I celebrated 2023 Christmas at the Vienna cabin. The cabin literally had everything you needed and more! Communication with the hosts was prompt. Nina was on top of it! When we asked if we would have a tree, her husband quickly went out and bought the largest Christmas tree we have ever seen! They even called us on Christmas Eve to help describe their land and great places to venture out for hikes. The family loved seeing all of the deer, and the kids really enjoyed our daily hikes……

“We stayed at this cabin for the April 2024 solar eclipse. Don and Kate were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to use their fire pit and yard. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. It’s in a great location on a hill overlooking Lake of Egypt and a quick drive into Marion, IL.”
