PERFECT Beachfront Home

Betty made us feel welcomed from the start! The house is nearly perfect in every way for a group of 4. It has the most amazing view and lovely outdoor space. We loved walking on this beach searching for sea glass and other beauties. Saw quite a few free range horses on our stretch of beach and they gathered at the watering hole next door. Everything you need for a fabulous visit to the beach was provided…beach chairs, beach towels, cooler bags and beach bags. The home even had amazing shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, laundry detergent and the best smelling hand sanitizer ever…small details that impressed our discerning group! This home was close to town for shopping and restaurants and a short drive to amazing white sand beaches. We will definitely stay here again!

Epic Experience!

La Chata Beach House is everything you want it to be - location, accomodations, access, beachfront, sea glass, wild horses and the friendliest of people! Betty is a great host and Vieques is a dream island. If you are looking for true relaxation with the most incredible beaches with little touristy spots- look no further! We cannot recommend staying here more. We will be back!

Perfection!

La Chata and Vieques blew away our expectations, The home is immaculate and the perfect size for two couples. Very quiet neighborhood, the views are stunning and we loved the direct access to the beach from the property. Vieques itself is beautiful and the locals are so kind and welcoming. Betty was helpful and responsive, answering any questions we had immediately. There isn’t a negative thing I can say about our experience. Book this little slice of heaven before it’s too late!

Amazing house, right on the beach

This property is super clean, modern, and right on the beach. Great kitchen, great views, lots of yard space, complete with hammock. We had a very enjoyable time here and would certainly come back again.

Stunning!

We had a wonderful week in Vieques in late January, and La Chata Beach House was everything we had hoped for. The house is tastefully furnished and well appointed with everything we needed. And the waterfront setting is stunning! We had a great time exploring the island but coming "home" was always a highlight of the day. We spent hours each day lounging on the patio, enjoying the view, and listening to the surf immediately on the other side of the walled garden. Betty, the caretaker, was tremendously helpful in answering questions both before our arrival and after. Hoping to visit the island again and would definitely choose La Chata Beach House for our lodging.

Gorgeous Views/Property and Tastefully Decorated

The home and property are even more beautiful than pictured. It was extremely clean, had great amenities and the views are unbelievable- it’s truly your own private oasis. Betty was incredibly kinda, knowledgeable and accommodating! We would definitely stay here again.

Could not have been better

Exceptionally clean and impeccably appointed, our stay was outstanding. We very much enjoyed the “front yard” and the beautiful landscaping of the property. The owners have truly designed a home they would spend time in and decorated it in a sleek and minimalistic way that induces relaxation and calm. Betty and Miles were exceptional - excellent communication and responsiveness. I highly recommend this property, one of the best we have ever stayed.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipment and styled with great design. The house is steps away from your own private beach and the water is perfect for all the snorkeling activities.

A dream house with a generous host

This is a dream house! It is beautiful, clean, fully equipped, with very comfortable beds, couches, and patio chairs. The view from practically everywhere in the house and outside in the patio and yard is spectacular. We loved walking down to our own area of beach from the house, snorkeling at several of the island beaches, marveling at the bioluminescent bay, and enjoying the island food. Our wonderful, informative, and friendly host, Betty, went beyond the call of duty to help us when our car rental (Maritzas) left us stranded at our airport arrival. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Beautiful house, views and lovely ocean sounds

This is our second year staying at this property and it wont be our last! Betty (Prop Mgr) is very helpful with the check in/out process, providing insight on island activities/restaurants and is very prompt in responding to questions. The house is exactly as described and in my opinion even better in person. The layout of the house, lends itself nicely to privacy and the sound of the ocean is absolutely wonderful. The house is nicely decorated and very clean and has everything that one may need. Because of this, we feel at home every time we visit.

Amazing home

This home is fantastic! Very private and the beach allows for a nice walk. Many beautiful plants on the property. We were able to swim a few days with noodles provided at the home. I enjoyed many afternoons reading in the hammock. The home is fully equipped with everything you may need. Betty and Miles were gracious hosts providing many helpful tips and very easy to communicate with. Upon our arrival they met us to guide us to the property. We are so looking forward to returning someday to the Lachata Beach House!
