“A weekend in McGregor IA to attend a family funeral. Our hosts were amazing from the time we booked till we left to check in w/us on our accommodations. The property is a beautiful home w/ all new amenities plus dog friendly. We had access to a full backyard for our dog plus able to grill out & sit on a private balcony to enjoy meals & overlook downtown McGregor! We highly recommend this property. Super clean & has everything you need to feel like you are @ home. Thank you to our hosts. A true……

“We had the best time here! Drove here from Chicago for a weekend and had so much fun touring the property & riding horses. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The property manager Denise & her father Ed were so awesome and communicative, we had a great time. Nearby there are some fun parks to go to & we drove to Iowa and went hiking. There’s also small bars and restaurants in the area but we weren’t a huge fan of those options, so we had brought food & there are a few kitchen appliances……

“It’s a cute 3 bedroom apartment. Very comfortable with lots of treats (coffee, popcorn). However, there was a lot of noise into the early morning hours from the bar across the street in the one bedroom with a window facing the street. We stayed a Friday night perhaps it’s quieter during the week.”

“The property met all of our expectations. The host responded to our inquiries immediately & was wonderful to work with. Our only disappointment was that the weather didn't allow for us to use the outside deck & amenities. Our group of 9 ladies made great use of the large island & dining table. Beds were comfortable & the house was very clean. The posting advises about the trains which are literally right behind the house so bring earplugs for sleeping. Our only suggestion is the house could use……

“Pictures don't do justice. This is a great location. Yellow River State Forest is amazing. Fun dive bar up the road in the small village. Fishing was tough with low water and high winds but looked very promising and will try some of these spots next time.”
