"We chose this property for its location to visit all the places we had on our list in the Perigord. It was close to Sarlat without the issues of parking and congestion - just perfect for us. The property was well appointed and the host very helpful both in getting us started and reviewing our proposed itinerary. A wonderful experience that we would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the area. "

"The apartment is beautiful and spacious, very well appointed and maintained. It’s located in the old city center with wonderful restaurants, bistros, shops, patisseries all around…and the famous geese sculpture is just outside! Free parking only a few minutes walk. Sarlat is a perfect central location for day trips to nearby Dordogne villages and many prehistoric sites. The local contact was most helpful with check in and other information. We highly recommend this property…5 stars!"

"Lovely house with everything that you need. Position makes it have fabulous views. The pool was great, heated, clean and good sunbeds. Walk to the castle through the bottom of the garden. A couple of restaurants in the village plus a patisserie. Short ride to La Roque-Gageac with lots of restaurants and a little further to Sarlat-la-Canéda which is great. Would recommend this house and hope to return."

"This beautiful home was as described. The owner was so very helpful as was the onsite manager. The living quarters were well appointed and very comfortable. The grounds were relaxing and well maintained. This is a 10 out of 10 and we will visit again. "

"We booked Chez Suzy for a family reunion, and it was perfect. 7 berooms, most ensuite. Facilities were great too with a lovely pool and gardens. Nice bbq area with a choice of either charcoal or gas. We dined outside as we barbecued most nights with the seating area more than adequate for our number. Most of the family drove from the UK, Germany and Gibraltar and more than enough room for the 3 cars.We highly recommend and hopefully we can visit again.Evelyne proved a lovely host and was always...

"Sarlat is a beautiful city, and La Villa des Consuls is an equally beautiful hotel. It has everything: wonderful/helpful staff, brilliant location, excellent service, and great breakfast. Staying at La Villa des Consuls made our visit to Sarlat and the surrounding area memorable. "

"Charming and very comfortable place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff - my wife is coeliac and they ensured there were options for her at breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good quality. Strawberries and biscuits in the room on arrival were a nice touch. Parking was arranged with the hotel before arrival and worked well in the covered car park which was only around 5 Minute walk. The hotel is in the centre of Sarlat and the square is literally just around the corner. Overall a fantastic stay and we will not hesitate to stay again. "

"Excellent small hotel right in the middle of the charming town of Sarlat. Literally two dozen restaurants, many of them excellent, within a 10-minute walk. Friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend. Two things to note, without detracting from the above: street parking is metered during the day, and the optional parking garage spot (5-minute walk) must be reserved in advance and costs extra; and there is no laundry service (there's a laundromat not very far)."

"Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the IBIS Sarlat. The staff went out of their way to make you feel really welcome and were incredibly helpful making suggestions on places to visit to make your stay memorable. When there was a problem with the TV, in the room, the staff did their utmost to repair it. When they realised they would have to call someone in, to solve the problem, they immediately arranged a move to a much larger room and helped transfer clothing/other possessions. They were like breath of fresh air and are a credit to the hotel chain. The room was also exceptionally clean which was a real treat to see. If only other hotels were like this. The other great thing is the hotel is located directly opposite from one of the better restaurants, in the town, and is only a 10 min stroll to the medieval town centre which is beautiful to walk around. "
