Nice large home for good size family

This home is very spacious, and has good sleeping arrangements for those large families. Front porch on 2nd and 3rd level are nice as well and when in season, there is a nice size pool.

This was the perfect house for a friend beach trip! We all had enough space to take a break from socializing but plenty of space for socializing! It was so nice having a pool, it was super windy the whole time we were there so the beach wasn't the most peaceful. But the pool was perfect. The grill worked well.

Great location and view

Loved the location and view. Place could use some maintenance and could have been cleaner. Ceiling leaked in first floor bathroom and rods fell off the walls, broken blinds, broken toilet seat, bed frame broken Bathroom rugs and floors dirty. Pots and pans dirty. With a little TLC it could be a 5!

Home met our needs in terms of bedrooms and space. Older home that was a little run down but more than adequate. great views and easy access to the beach.The pots and pans in the kitchen should be replaced - they are scratched and teflon is coming off.

Great location just across the street from the beach. Large house with lots of beds for a long weekend with the extended family. Air conditioning worked well and there was plenty of hot water. Landscaping was above average for the neighborhood and there was a little grocery store a mile down the road that saved us a 20 minute drive to the next nearest shopping area. Pool was nice but filled with leaves and a live crab that the pool service missed. Bedding and furnishings were well worn. Some lightbulbs were burned out and several of the ceiling fans didn't work. Spiders hanging in a couple entryways and a few ants in the kitchen - no apparent pest control service. Overall, the house could use some TLC but it met our needs.

Great location - close to the beach!

We loved staying so close to the beach and found this home comfortable for our three families. Perfect number of bedrooms and bathrooms and the couch was perfect for us all. The kitchen was a little tight but we made it work (we love to cook together). The only downside was the kitchen was missing a can opener. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Large House Brach Access

This house accommodated our large family with spacious rooms and numerous bathrooms. The beach access is directly across the street. We had a couple house issues, but they were attended to in a timely manner. I’m impressed with Vacasa personnel and would rent from them again.

Great for family and friends

Arrived after Sandbridge was evacuated and there was minor damage to a fence, the pool was dirty and the pump was blown and the place was only superficially cleaned. Repairs to the fence were quickly done. The pool took longer understandably and I’m sure the cleaning crew had to rush due to the evacuation. The location to the beach was perfect with two small children. Enjoyed the corn hole and our large dinners together.

It's okay.

It was very nice considering they only allowed 2 cars in a driveway that a 8 bedroom house sits at. It was a little out the way when I had to go pick up my grands from their college dorms. It can use some updates, furniture wise. Beds, living room, and the Internet for the TV'S. We could only watch the one on the floor where the kitchen is. All the other ones wouldn't work unless you had Netflix.

Needs some TLC…

The house was huge, location was great and proximity to things was what really saved this entire experience. The house was not clean - “surface clean” at most. The house definitely needs some upgradingTLC. The beds are old and hard. A lot of the mini blinds were broken and had missing blinds. The AC unit needed to replace- an HVAC was needed. The wanted to have an HVAC person come and fix the unit but someone had to be at the home while it was being fixed- it was a huge inconvenience- we declined. No hot water in the evenings for showers. Those things were definitely deal breakers for us - so we won’t be returning to this particular home.I do want to note that some people mentioned cleanliness in their reviews- I reached out to the property prior to our stay. They assured me that the home would be clean- it was a disappointment that they did not hold up on their end.Spoke with Vrbo and they offered and refund for all the inconveniences although I have not received anything as of yet. Also no email of the conversation or agreement to refund me was received- although the representative stated she would provide it. I did save screenshots of the conversation and will follow up with Vrbo regarding this.

Worst property manager

House was not cleaned well, trash everywhere under and in between couches. Pictures are very old everything has aged a lot since especially the outside of the house. House was roomy and I wouldn’t have complained too much at all if it wasn’t for the leak in one of the two bathrooms on the main floor. That bathroom was out of commission and very inconvenient, but the worst part was the water all leaked downstairs. It pretty much flooded the kitchenette downstairs and got my MacBook Pro wet. After 2 weeks I get a call from vacasa saying the leak wasn’t too bad, even when I showed a video of the water pouring out, and it was my fault we left the MacBook there. They told me it was my fault we let the water run when we were eating dinner and after we went downstairs and found it like that. Don’t rent vacasa homes, they don’t clean too well and they don’t maintain the property. They will try to not take blame for their wrongdoings and put it in you.

Big house, good location, not clean

The two stars are for location only. Received a call while in route to the house that the dish washer was broken. Upon arrival we were surprised to see how dirty the house was. Sure it was lightly vacuumed, but at some point before our arrival we found something sticky was on the floor wall and ceiling in the kitchen area. Some pots had food encrusted on them, oven was pretty dirty, Mold in a couple of the bathrooms, some strange stains on the comforter on one of the beds, one bedroom had water stains on the ceiling and on the mattress below. Rusty nails on the driveway and around the outside, a rusty broken bicycle outside. Nothing included in the kitchen like coffee or spices. Overall the house was very dirty. On our last day at about 7:00am we were surprised by contractors working on the outside of the house at the level where bedrooms were. We were never informed at anytime workers would be coming out. Fortunately, I was able to convince the workers to wait to work on the upper levels until we had a chance to get everyone up. You’ll get one trash bag and one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. You’ll need to provide any additional In summary this house should be avoided by families

Youth Retreat

First I'd like to explain this is a non profit organization based in Washington DC Ward 8 community and we do an annual youth retreat every year. We usually take the kids to Lake Anna but decided to do a change of venue. When we arrived at Pearls by the Sea all the doors and balconies were open, the place was not cleaned the floors needed sweeping, and the tubs needed to be cleaned. There were cob webs with spiders there, two kids got stung by wasp/hornets nest on side stairs leading to and from the balconies, grill didn't work someone had to be called to come out to fix them only to work for a couple of days during our stay, one bedroom had an old blood stained pillow, room as you enter bathroom is horrible and spooky so no one stayed in the room. One of the volunteers went to take a shower in the room and clothes had been left and a roach was in the room, the ice machine kept clogging up and had to call someone out for that only for it to continue to happen, top balcony rail was lifted up exposing nails, pillows on couch was dirty and I was bitten by something not sure what but my foot and ankle was swollen. It was a disaster from the beginning. The house needs updates especially for the amount of money we spent for a weeks stay and we ended up leaving a day early. I communicated very well with the staff about all the issues but I feel it wasn't worth the cost. We are grassroots organization committed to helping at -risk youth and providing services to support, cultivate future confident leaders and provide them with an escape away from their communities. We will continue to do our work but we won't return to this house. Totally disappointed. I

Our lovely Pearl.

This was the third time we have stayed here. It’s been our go to house for three years now to relax and get away. We loved this house, it’s placement, decor, yard/landscaping, pool and decks. We started with VRBO for two years and with Vacasa this year. We have so many memories built up in this property that it feels almost like a part of us. But this year it just didn’t shine as much. It didn’t feel like meeting our old friend. There was confusion before arrival that we’d need to pick up the key for the house. It had the key pad on it the last two years but we thought ok new company new rules. Until a week before our start we get the email saying about arriving. Nope no keys just the usual key pad. Ok. We get there thinking we’re are getting a new key pad on the door because the last two years it’s been really cranky and not very secure. But nope same old key pad. I guess no big deal. We couldn’t get it to lock from the outside all week so someone had to turn the lock from the inside and go out through the upstairs door and come down the deck steps. Not a big deal. The house was clean and smelled clean. The cleaning crews really do a great job. Which is greatly appreciated by us! I don’t even want to think what some people leave that house looking like. There is plenty of space for a lot of people. There is the downstairs apartment and the suite. The third floor with the king bed and the futons. But there are only two of us plus our dog so we just stay on the second floor. She takes one side and I take the other. My side this year was a little water logged. The toilet kept running, very loudly. Luckily I was able to “fix” the problem while I was there. And this probably should have been turned in for it to be taken care of by a professional. But see it was doing this the last two days we were at the house last year. So I was thinking hey maybe they want it to constantly run 24 hours a day? If no one has fixed it in a year? I mean waters free the ocean is just right there. This house sits on the perfect spot. It’s better then being on the beach. This house looks right between two houses and the public access is just out your door and across the street. We’ve watched dolphins from the decks. Ah the decks… this is why we love this house. Sitting on the decks top or middle deck and people watching and waving and saying hi to the passerby’s. The top deck gives a great view of the area and ocean. At night with a full moon it feels like you can reach up and touch it! The pool is usually our focal point. But you have to watch the tops of the deck rails they are old and the paint is peeling and are leaving jagged edges. They kind dig into your skin. This pool is huge for a beach house pool. With a true six foot deep end and contoured sides. Also has the wide walk in steps. The cement pad around it is good and has plenty of room for chairs. Unfortunately we had to get the hand rails out of a pile of stuff against the house and put them in so we had them to use. The area where they set into the cement is all cracked and doesn’t hold them well but it was better then nothing. The landscaping and yard is awesome. It’s a large space and great for people with more then one pet or kids. It wraps from one side of the house to the other and gives people a lot of room to move around. Just remember that the people coming to work on the property no how to open the gates but seems they are not required to close them. Be vigilant! Some of the chairs are in need of repair. Hopefully it’s done better then the chair I sat in and ripped the skin on my thigh about 5 inches down my leg. Shorter nuts and bolts should have been used. Inside the house the decor is as to be expected at the beach. There were new covers on the beds and they looked great. There is a long C shaped leather sofa which is very cool. The view was great, the house not so much.

When we arrived on Thursday we started checking the house out. The downstairs bedroom had not been cleaned, towels still in the bathroom, beds still unmade. Mother in law suite was locked by a different code. Went upstairs to find there was still coffee in the coffee pot, dirty dish towel on the counter and could see puppy dog feet on the floor. Called the number and talked to Terry and told him the issues. He stated he would notify the housekeeper and have them come take care of it. Called Terry back on Friday morning and left a voice mail about the housekeeping issues and also to inform him that one of the HVAC systems was not working. By noon we still had no response from anyone. We washed the sheets and the towels, cleaned and disinfected the bathroom and beds ourselves. We stopped by the Vacasa office and expressed our concerns. They called the maintenance man about the HVAC and gave us a credit back for the cleaning issues. The HVAC system was fixed by Friday evening. The house is in great need of a deep clean and general maintenance. There are spots on the carpet, dog hair in the carpet, grease and dust on the kitchen ceiling. Some of the sliding doors had issues locking. Several toilets constantly running, refrigerator didn't cool very well. We made it work and enjoyed watching the dolphins in the morning from the living room and the upper deck.

Peaceful Thanksgiving

Enjoyed the house. There were some cosmetic things which could use some attention, like the bugs and paint on the front door. Ceiling in Master Bedroom on third floor, died spiders on ceiling. Cleaning crew left a blanket in the washing machine which had mildewed. We washed it again and put it outside to air out. Dishes were not totally clean. Pots, pans, and flatware. Cleaning crew needs to pay a little more attention to bathrooms to ensure all areas have been cleaned and sanitized properly. We are in an age and time where sanitization is a key and vital part of our lives. Please don't take these items as a major gripe, but these are things which should be monitored to ensure your guess are provided with a top-notch accommodation and safe environment. Overall, everyone enjoyed the stay. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity of staying in your home. Thank you for the lovely gift bag and Thanksgiving roaster and things.

Nice space; disappointing quality

The space was nice for a group of 15, especially the kitchen and living room space. We still had plenty of beds when a maintenance issue happened and made an entire room unusable (AC valve clogged, now fixed). Also very close to the beach and quiet street. Our issues other than the AC leak were kind of "par for the course" on a youth group trip, but they were all disappointing given what we paid to rent the place. The yard is a nice size, but so disappointing not to have the pool when it was 68 degrees outside--it's not "weather dependent," the season ends between Labor Day and Oct 1. We were given a code that didn't work on the locks AT ALL when we arrived, which was after 11pm. Thankfully one of our kids found a door open on the third floor porch (not comforting but helpful). We still couldn't get into the extra bed/bath/kitchen suite because the code didn't work. On top of this issue, they supply only the bare minimum. Beds had a sheet and a thin quilt & some rooms were freezing while others were very warm -- adjusting the thermostat never really fixed it. No hand soap in the bathrooms, not enough towels in each bathroom for the bedrooms there... we had to buy paper towels, extra toilet paper... and it's not expected but it's typical to have some basic spices on hand in a rental.

Property could be kept up better! Entry door area could be cleaned and painted instead of looking barley functional compared to the other houses on the street. The appliances could have actually worked as prescribed by manufacturer ( oven did not heat properly and refrigerator did not get cold) but we made do!
