Great vaca

The rental was clean, nicely decorated and equipped. Only 1/2 block from the beach was marvelous. We had a wonderful week.

Great Vacation Spot

Location is within walking distance of the beach. Location was clean and had a comfy feel. There are plenty of other attractions that are close by. Having to rent your own bed sheets and bath towels still seems very unusual to me and is a hassle. It was difficult for me to get in contact with the owner when I had questions

Very Comfortable Beach House

This property was perfect for our family gathering. It’s not large, but had enough room for five adults. The back deck and back yard are also nice for hanging out. The location on the Oceanside of Atlantic Ave means you can easily walk to the beach. Ocean Ave which parallels Atlantic Ave is also great for walking or riding bikes south to the boardwalk. First Landing State Park is on 64th street so another place to hike or ride bikes that is very close.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the experience was fine. Very basic, and a little disappointing in some respects. It was great to be close to the beach and price was good. The check in and check out was very inconvenient. It was not clear to me that I needed to make a 20 minute round trip to pick up and drop off keys at another location. It seems a lock box with a key on the premise would work fine. I received a call 30 minutes after checkout to go return the keys, which interrupted our plans on our last day. Two of the TVs did not work, and it was only basic cable with no provisions for streaming our own platforms. A few items like coffee filters, laundry detergent and toilet paper would have been appreciated. The lock also didn't work.

Perfect beach house

This property was exactly how I expected it to be from the description. It is about one block from the beach. It has two master suites and two living areas. I would definitely rent this property again!

Excellent Communication!

The house was great and everything we had hoped for. Communication with the property manager was outstanding! We received a phone call within 30 mins of booking and several before & during our stay making sure everything was taken care of etc. Will definitely book with them again!

Beachside bugginess

The location close to the beach was nice. You can definitely hear the noise from the highway in the front bedroom but we didn’t mind as we’re used to city noise. While the house in general was clean, there appears to be a bug issue. There were roach traps and spray all around and a huge dead one left inside one trap. The property manager claimed this was normal and they spray for bugs every other week. I couldn’t decide if this made me feel better or creepier. The check in and out process was ridiculous. We had to drive out of our way to pick up and drop off keys in some poorly marked building with drop boxes in the city center. After driving over six hours this was the last thing we wanted to do. I don’t understand why they couldn’t use a lock box or key pad like every other property we’ve stayed at in the last decade. The beds were spring mattresses and very uncomfortable. The dining area was at the total opposite end of the condo from the kitchen which was inconvenient. Overall we had a good time but we likely wouldn’t rent this unit again.

Vacation home in north end Virginia Beach

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home in Virginia Beach… or as our youngest called it “the vacay home”. Everything was clean and in great condition. The beds were cozy and the temperature stayed at a comfortable 72 degrees, which was a nice respite from the mid 90s outside during our travels. It was four houses from the beach so we were able to enjoy that everyday. The outside shower was perfect for washing off before getting back inside. The home was located in the north end community, which was quiet compared to the downtown. But it was only a two or three mile drive downtown, so not too far. The manager provided a fantastic list of places to check out and a hand curated list of events just for the week we were staying. We had a great time and there was always something going on downtown. We played putt putt at Jungle Golf, went on a dolphin tour boat, and enjoyed a symphony performance by the beach on 31st street. There were lots of other street performances we checked out as well. To save money we cooked at least one meal a day at the house. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils, plates and silverware. And the dining / Florida room was relaxing to eat in. All in all we had a fantastic time and would recommend both this home and manager to anyone.

Great family getaway with very easy beach access in quiet part of Virginia Beach

Great vacation rental in a quiet part of Virginia Beach. We had 4 people (husband and me, 20 yo and 17 yo). Pros - great to have 2 bedrooms and sunroom with pull out so each kid had their own space, good sized place for 4 people with nice sized kitchen (not eat in, table in sunroom) - very short walk to beach - kitchen was fully equipped with plates/utensils/pots/etc. - property manager was very responsive - nice patio and 2 charcoal grills - house has 2 rentals, ours was on the first floor which worked out great, didn't have to carry our things upstairs Don't really have any cons but of note: - the key pick up is in the back of the office building at the address provided, you can park in the parking lot (it's easy just took some looking) - there are no food items provided like salt/pepper - there is plenty of room to park a vehicle, just be alert the first time driving to the house, the turn in is kind of hidden until you come up on it but the property manager gives good directions - there was minimal noise from upstairs renters - there was minimal noise from the road We would definitely stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: PROS: *location (very close to the beach, an easy walk, felt safe, a quiet environment/neighborhood)*clean floor, carpet like new, clean walls.*clean, comfortable furniture*sofa bed is very comfortable (all beds are comfortable)*kitchen is well stocked and updated*AC gets it nice an cold without any limits on the temperature setting*Property management company is very responsive and helpful.They provided immediate responses to our needs.*Location is great as far as being north of the hustle and bustle (there weren't many people on the beach mid-July), but the main street directly outside the bedroom is noisy.*The space is used well on the interior/layout. We appreciated the door to the sunroom/sofa bed room so we didn't have to wake our teenager who sleeps in.CONS: *One of the bathtubs would be unusable for families with small children. A hole in the tub has been patched, but the patch has worn through and is not in good condition/patch is dirty. I can't imagine any child being willing to sit in the tub - I didn't even like standing in it with this issue.*Parking for the downstairs unit is tricky. It is hard to navagate an SUV onto the concrete pad due to 2 metal signs in the ground and a tree near the road. If you are coming with 2 SUVS, it could be hard to fit them both on the spot unless they completely cut down the tree. At this point the branches are cut back so you can pull in, but you can't then open your doors without opening well into pine branches/pinecones. If the tree were completely cut down there would no longer be an issue. (It would also make it easier to see when trying to exit the property if the tree weren't sticking out to the road).*Noise from upstairs neighbors walking around, which is likely unavoidable in a house situation.*The outside shower has so little water pressure that it would be better to just have a hose available for rinsing off. Can't beat the sunrises

Great location, one block from the ocean so don't miss the sunrise! Minutes from first landing for sunsets. Plenty of space and well stocked kitchen pantry- only wish it had a cutting board.

Perfect private beach get a way

This is the second time we stayed at this property. We love the sleeping arrangements and the kids love the slider to the back deck and then walking to the private beach. It is the perfect location. This trip was to celebrate my oldest child’s college graduation and my youngest child’s high school graduation. With the Covid still going on it was great to have our own space and own beach. Can’t wait for our next trip there.
