"The hotel was not a $300 a night hotel in the off season. The general quarters had half ass repair work (holes in the wall at one of the outlets, carpet was coming off the floor at the bathroom, etc..) The chair and other furniture in the room looks like it came from Goodwill, the laminate on the counters was cracked or missing, the hair dryer was broken and probably would have electrocuted someone, the list goes on… The unit I stayed in appeared dated though the advertisement said recently renovated. You he the judge as I am including photos.
The one redeeming factor for this hotel was the staff. The person at the front desk (I think her name was Natalie) was awesome with me and she was manning the place by herself at the front desk with a lot of people seeming to check on at the same time. One of the facilities guys (didn’t catch his name) jumped in later in the evening to help. But that was the only good thing to say about the hotel itself (except the room had a great view of the pool deck and ocean)
The hotel was loud, we are on the 3rd floor which would have been OK except there was a loud party happening in the bar for St Patrick’s day which didn’t end until 01:35.
Other guests of the hotel were obnoxious and loud well into the late night, early morning. Seems this hotel is more suited for a party hotel than a getaway and relax hotel.
If that’s your thing, you will enjoy it I’m sure. I won’t be staying there again.
One of the dumpier “resorts” in Virginia Beach."
