Great Little Cabin
Really enjoyed our weekend here for fishing. View from the porch was excellent. Kitchen has everything we needed. The linens were nice, pillows brand new and comfy.

Driftless Days
Bishop Creek Cabin was everything we could have hopes for in a rental. The perfect size for our trio, we never felt cramped despite the size of the space. In a perfect location to get to any fly fishing spot you would like, close enough to town that its not the end if the world if you need to run up for something. The best part is how little you do need to leave once you are set up. The hardest part was leaving our porch in the mornings to start our day, the view from the adirondack chairs could hold you for hours. Plus the fire pit to sit by at night and the charcoal grill to turn $10 walmart steaks into steakhouse quality NY Strips. The cabin still feels like a dream. Thanks to Evan and the family for offering it up to us for the week.

overall the place was great. But, I wanted to open windows for fresh air, when I did there were large creepy crawlies in the channels and they were very dirty. Looked like they had not been cleaned out in some time.

Wonderful stay
We so enjoyed our stay at this cabin- complete with a gorgeous view, cozy cabin with a smart use of the space/all the necessities, lots of outdoor time trout fishing, front porch sitting and evening campfires before bed. It was just what our sons needed as a summer adventure. Thank you!

Bishop Creek Cabin
We've stayed twice now as our base to fish the Driftless in SW WI. It has everything you need although it's very small - best suited for 2 people. The front porch is a nice feature because it overlooks the valley and it's pleasant to sit out in the evening and listen to the birds and watch the sky. I'd stay there again.

Peaceful Country
Our stay at Bishops Creek Cabin was very relaxing. The cabin was located with a nice picturesque view. It was very quiet in the area and a great escape from the bustle of city living. There was just enough amenities to be comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Boys Fishing Trip
My two high school age boys and I stayed at the Bishop Branch cabin for 3 nights and had a great time. Its proximity to great fly fishing was what drew us to the location and it didn't disappoint, with 3 days worth of fishing all easily contained within 25-30 min. driving. The cabin itself worked great for the three of us and supplied us with everything we needed. Comfortable sleeping in the upstairs bunk space, room to eat, tie flys, and relax in the evening and just enough space to keep our gear out of the cold nights. We will definitely try to book this cabin again for future fishing trips.

Perfect weekend
Bishop’s creek cabin was the perfect spot. It was quiet with lovely views. The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was also a great location for enjoying our hiking and kayaking day trips. We would love to stay again!

Comfortable, cozy cabin
This log cabin was adorable, comfortable and perfect for our stay! The efficiency of its layout was amazing and their attention to detail was nice. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. The 6 min of hot water did not pose a problem. We just took quick showers or alternated (one in morning, one in evening). We loved this place. It was a great home base location for fly fishing the Driftless area - close enough to Viola and Varoqua for anything you might need. We used the grill and the fire pit. We’d highly recommend!

Beautiful, Quiet, Peaceful.
As I said, we were looking for a slow paced few days, our stay was just that. Fortunately we had great weather, Sunshine, blue skies, chilled mornings, & evenings around the fire was just perfect. Cabin was very small but met our needs. The view from the porch is beautiful. During the day we went fly fishing and took a trip to Sunrise Orchards. Decided not to cook and ate at the local restaurants. Had a very relaxing time.

Private little cabin
Great private little cabin above a beautiful little creek with views of rolling hills across the way. Some mornings the mist rises above the creek which is wonderful. The location is great for access to Viroqua and up through LaFarge to visit Wildcat Mtn State Park/Kickapoo Reserve/Kayak rentals in Ontario. The bridge down the road was closed and under construction, which meant the road was very quiet for us.

Beautiful spot on the west fork of the Kickapoo River
Southwest Wisconsin (north of Wisconsin River) is beautiful. And the Kickapoo River valley is the highlight of the area for me. The stars seem a lot closer and brighter here than at home - be sure to check them out when staying at this fun-sized cabin. Also the views from the front porch and yard are great.

Beautiful cabin with access to great fishing
This little cabin is a fantastic getaway for fishing the driftless. There is a great stream across the road where my brother and I had great success catching a number of beautiful brown trout. Viroqua is about 10 minutes away by car and offers a handful of good restaurants and a fantastic coffee shop (Wonderstate). I hope to return in the future!

Awesome cabin!
This cabin was so nice! The perfect size and we sure enjoyed staying there. My husband went fly fishing in the creek and had a blast and caught so many brown trout! It is just down the driveway and across the road — so fast and easy to get, to he could come home and have lunch and go back. Multiple access points to other spots/creeks to fish just up and down the road/highway.

Beautiful setting in the Driftless
We came out to stay in the Driftless as a fishing vacation for my husband. The area is so beautiful. The cabin is small, but a nice adventure to our vacation. The view is awesome and supplied wonderous changes during our stay.

Excellent for what we needed.
Son in law and I were in Viroqua to trout fish. Cabin was perfect for us. Only negative was no window covering. We were up at dawn, so it didn't bother us. Trout stream across the road. Good size fridge for cabin. I have us cellular and had no reception. Verizon worked on and off for text only. Beds were comfortable. Would diffintly stay again.

Hi Ashley thank you for the feedback regarding the AC, I apologize for this. With the cooler spring weather we had been having I had the place closed up to keep the heat in. And so I had not yet setup the ductwork to exhaust the hot air from the AC unit through the window vent to the outside. I was not prepared for that fast of a temperature change. The ductwork is now in place and the AC is functioning as it should. We invite you to come stay again and will be sure to have the AC working for you next time. Thank you again for staying!

My fishing partner and I enjoyed staying in this very small, unique cabin. The kitchen was very well equipped considering the size of the cabin. It was well maintained and communication with the owner was excellent. We would rent again.

The cabin is small, but has everything you need to be comfortable. It was clean, well supplied, and gave us a good home base as we explored the Driftless. We really appreciated the location -- we were able to walk down to Bishop's Creek numerous times to wrap up our day of fishing. Highly recommended.

Sweet tiny house in a perfect spot
This small house had everything we needed. The view was outstanding and the fishing in Bishop’s Creek was great. We loved sitting on the front porch! The only downsides were the ladder to the loft. That should perhaps be more dominant in the description. It was sturdy and worked great, but might be difficult for some. And the double bed upstairs was a bit uncomfortable. Not terrible, but I wouldn’t want to sleep in it for a week.

Unexpected
On day one, without outside activities. We found a thick on my 3 year old. Day two, we found more thicks on our bodies and found out that the walking trail is closed. Day three, more thicks. Wednesday Day four. We found another thick eating from my back. And decided to end our vacation. We had till Saturday. We lost three days due to thicks and closed trails.

Hi Asucena, I'm sorry to hear that your stay at our cabin was not what you had expected. Regarding ticks at the place, yes the cabin is in a rural country setting and we unfortunately have little control over this part of nature. This is a risk that people take and need to educate themselves on how to enjoy nature but also take measures to protect themselves and their families. As for the hiking trails this should not have come as a surprise to you. Upon booking your reservation you would have had to agree upon the conditions of the House Rules & Polices. In it clearly asks guests to please adhere to the No Trespassing signs, and that the logging roads are not to be used for hiking.

September Stay at the Bishop Creek Cabin
We enjoyed our short stay at the cabin. The front porch was a favorite spot for the view, conversation, and reading. We grilled our dinners, fished and hiked. It was a lovely change of pace and scenery for a quick getaway.
