The elegant Villa Maria is situated in the peaceful village of Markovići in the hilly municipality of Vižinada. This villa has 4 modern bedrooms and bathrooms for up to 9 people, with an enchanting garden and surrounding area of 1600 m ², which includes parking space for 3 cars. Treat yourself and your family to a well-deserved holiday, surrounded by greenery and breathtaking views.
On the ground floor there is an open plan living area that combines the living room and kitchen with the dining area and guest bathroom. Simple lines and a neutral colour palette dominate the modern interior. The airiness of the ground floor is enhanced by light colours and two wide glass doors on the outer wall. The living room has a sofa for 9 people and a fireplace. It's a great place for the whole family to spend time together, overlooking the garden and pool. On the other side of the room is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with an island, ideal for preparing specialities together. All guests will be able to enjoy the prepared meal together, as the dining table can comfortably seat up to 10 people.
The bedrooms are spread over two floors - 1 on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor. Each of the air-conditioned rooms is an ideal place to relax after a day in the sun, thanks to the minimalist modern decor and relaxing colours. All rooms have double beds and one has an extra single bed. Each room has its own bathroom and three of the rooms have balconies. The modern bathrooms have underfloor heating for added comfort. There's no need to worry about whether you've brought everything, as toilets are stocked with toiletries and hairdryers.
While you're staying at the Villa, you're invited to relax in the perfectly tended gardens. The central feature is the 54 m² pool, accessed by steps, and its 9 sun loungers. Lean back on one and enjoy the sun and views with a cocktail in hand. While you are soaking up the sun, your little ones can have fun on the large lawn where they can play badminton or jump on the trampoline. In the summer kitchen you can prepare al fresco meals and there is also a barbecue next to it. Treat yourself to some home-made delicacies on the covered terrace with a table for 10 people, or raise a glass of excellent local wine in the lounge area next to the terrace. Whatever your choice, you can't go wrong, but don't miss the view of the surrounding hills at sunset.
If you're in the mood for a taste of the local delights, there's no need to go far away. Wine lovers will be spoilt for choice thanks to the family-run wineries - the wine and olive oil roads lie just 500 metres away. For those who enjoy cycling, there is a 123-kilometre-long section of the recently renovated Parenzana railway. If you decide to go a little further, the famous observatory of Višnjan is only ten minutes away by car, while Novigrad and Poreč, two Istrian jewels on the Adriatic coast, are about twenty minutes away.
