Greek Islands Vlycha Beach Hotels

"This villa is such an idyllic, beautiful setting with an incredible view across the bay. The property is well cared for and maintained and has been upgraded considerably from the photos on Vrbo, including new outdoor furniture and comfortable wooden sunloungers, an outdoor shower and a huge smart tv in the lounge area. The pergola has been replaced by a tiled roof so you can sit outside on the corner sofa or gorgeous marble table area whatever the weather. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, outdoor grill, microwave and all amenities you could need and lots of nice little touches to make your stay extra special. There is even a room filled with dvds, books and jigsaws you are welcome to borrow. We stayed for a week at the end of October and had a relaxing time in gorgeous sunshine. It is a real slice of paradise set in the hill above Vlycha Bay. The generous welcome food pack on arrival was very much appreciated as we arrived late on Saturday and the big supermarkets don’t open on Sundays. Communication with the owner Shane was excellent. He couldn’t do enough for us and Terri who maintains the property and pool was really helpful and both made sure we had a wonderful week at the villa. We hope to return again soon and would recommend this property to anyone wanting a peaceful stay in a pretty, well maintained property. "

"This villa is superb - home from home, spotless and so comfortable. Its location is great, next to a beautiful beach but away from very busy areas. Having the restaurant at the bottom of the hill was perfect.The pool is amazing and view is stunning. Pictures don’t do it justice. Host is great. "

"The hotel resort is now dated. It’s showing serious signs of wear and tear. The main pool areas are lethal to walk around when wet - you really have to take care. The rooms, and we had nice ones are smaller than average and dated. The views were nice, but then we did pay for sea views. The adults only pool is constantly taken up by family’s as there is a general lack of sun beds. The poolside bar has long queues as the one bartender has to cope with all drink requests. The local "

"This villa has the best location on Vlycha Beach. It is set at the far end just up a hill, so that you have amazing views across the bay, but still it is only a 5 minute walk to the beach (which is mostly sand on this end). Also, the far side of the property is protected land, so it is very secluded even though it is only a few minutes drive to Lindos around the corner. The villa has a nice open layout with kitchen and living room fully open onto a nice deck with a lovely infinity pool with world class views. One point to be aware of is it can be very hot. We stayed at the end of June and had a few days over 100 F (almost 40 c). Vlycha is on the leeward side of the island so the breeze is calm, but it travels over the rock hills of Rhodes and gets warm. This is an advantage in spring or fall, but took us by surprise on how hot it got right on the sea in early summer. There is no A/C in the living room, so it was very hot even first thing in the morning. The kitchen is very well provisioned and there is a great outdoor grill. We loved the breakfast area under the olive trees in the morning. There is a good market at the beach and a real grocery store only a few minutes drive away. There is also a great fresh fish market within a 10 minute drive. We were a little worried about the platform beds, but they were actually more comfortable than they looked and the bedrooms have A/C so we slept well. Stefanos is a wonderful host. Overall this is a fantastic place to stay in Rhodes."

"Leider hat es geregnet. Rhodos ist nicht angenehm für Leute die nicht viel laufen können (Knie) Tavernen alle sehr lecker und sehr freundlich. Nicola 5 Extra Sterne Das Haus könnte eine Renovierung vertragen. Ansonsten alles okay. "
