“This has been one of the most special places I’ve ever been to. The sounds of the forest at night are surreal and can touch your soul. I’ve only spent one night at the cabin but I will never forget my time here. The cabins are super cute, clean, and comfortable. The short path to the lodge with bathrooms is marked by some torches on the ground at night. The sky cleared up in the middle of the night so I could enjoy the stars while walking to the lodge. AMAZING.”

“We enjoyed the hot tub and the spacious house. There were enough towels and other items for our large group. Location was also perfect to visit Volcano National Park. ”

“Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up.”

“We loved our stay at the Volcano lodge! It was very peaceful, the jacuzzi was a nice place to relax at the end of the evening. Even though there were others staying on the property we rarely saw them. The lush rainforest was beautiful! I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again! Thank you!”

“Beautiful property with a beautiful private waterfall. Definitely must try renting a property like this at least once in lifetime.However, the inside of the cabin needs some updating in the kitchen and bedroom. Sometimes little details leave a very good or bad impression.Kitchen: toaster did not work, all pans were scratched up and very old. Honestly, I would not want to cook anything in those pats. I suggest you invest 130 every 6 months to buy a new toaster, couple cooking pans/skillet, and a……

“Rick and Katy are straight forward to deal with, providing lots of insider information on out of the way experiences on The Big Island. The view from the common area where you can enjoy the healthy breakfast that Rick and Katy provide is peaceful. The veranda is a perfect place to watch the two goats playing in the yard.
